The Best is Yet to Come

Ch. 2

Today my new daddy is coming to get me. It makes me really happy. He also said today is his other kids birthdays and meeting me is their present. They're twins which is really cool, I've never met twins before. I really hope they like me… My old mommy and her kids didn't like me, they beated me alot.

"YOU STUPID FUCKING BITCH! GOD, OUT OF ALL OF THE KIDS THERE WHY DID I PICK YOU! THAT WAS CLEARLY A FUCKING MISTAKE!" Leslie was yelling at me again. I don't call her Mommy cause I haven't known her very long. After she stopped yelling, she slapped me, punched me in the belly and told me I'm not allowed to get food anymore. I don't even know why she hit me this time. All I did was tell her that Kimmy, one of the girls supposed to be my sister, hit me. 

I ran to my room crying. Everybody always hits me in this family. I told my teacher but she said it's not nice to lie about that stuff. I wish my real mommy didn't die so that I wouldn't have to get adopted or get hit.

"LILLIAN MARIE GET YOUR ASS DOWN HERE RIGHT NOW! LILY, LILY, LI-"

"Lily? Still here sweatpea?" The adoption lady was looking at me. 

"Y-yes miss." I wish I didn't remember stuff like that… It makes me sad. I take medicine that's supposed to make me happy but I don't think it works.

"Aww what's wrong hun, did you have another one of those awful flashbacks?" The lady asked when I started crying. I only nodded and she hugged me.

"It'll be alright, Mr. Daniels and his kids are nice. They won't hurt you, I promise." I liked this lady, she's nice too.

Mr. Daniels came about five minutes later. After they talked and signed a bunch of papers, he took me to my new home. He showed me around the house a little bit before showing me my room.

It was so pretty! It had a blue bed, lots of toys, and a small dresser with art stuff and coloring books. He told me to look in the drawers and closet and I saw lots of really pretty clothes. I ran over to him and gave him the biggest, bestest hug I ever gave anybody. He hugged me back and smiled at me.

"This actually used to be my office. I've been turning it into a room for a certain princess in secret so my kids wouldn't find out. How's it look Lily, do you like it?" I nodded quickly and jumped up and down holding his hand. This is the coolest room ever!

He laughed and asked me if I wanted to meet Kaci. I was kinda scared but he told me lots and lots about her and Bug so I nodded and kept holding his hand as we walked to the living room.

"Kaci, we're home! Come to the living room!" She yelled coming but then there was a loud bang. After a minute she ran in and looked really excited. My eyes went wide and my mouth opened.

"You have purple hair? That's so cool!" I let go of Mr. Daniels hand and ran over to her. She laughed and knelt down in front of me.

"Yes I do. I'm Kaci, what's your name sweetie?" I told her and she said my name is cute.

"Kaci, what was that loud bang?" Mr. Daniels asked. Her face turned red.

"My shirt fell." She scratched the back of her head.

"How come it was loud then? Shirts are quiet." I looked up at her waiting for my answer.

"I may or may not have been in it when it fell." We all laughed. I fall lots too so it's okay.

We talked for a long time before she checked the time and we went to the living room to wait for Bug so I could meet him too.

Everybody was super nice to me. Maybe if I stay with them I won't need my happy pills no more.

Lily's pov will frequently have mispronounced words due to her being a six year old. Don't come at me. Anyhoo, comment, vote, all that jazz. Hope you enjoyed this chapter.
