I remember the first time that I met Mia. I recognized my friend Izzy, which was also Mia's friend. Now don't get me wrong Mia is my best friend but it wasn't a "I just met you and now you are my best friend" thing.
When I first said hello to Izzy I noticed Mia and I thought "dang that girl is short." At the same time I never knew that she was the funny, headstrong, smart, beautiful girl that she is now. I remember walking to class with Izzy and Mia to all but a few classes.
I knew that deep down that just like in elementary school Izzy would flip schools a lot. I knew deep down that I would have to make new friends on my own.
