The blonde girl who had been coming here all week is here again. In my coffee shop. 'The usual?' I ask when she stands in front of me. 'Yes, but to go please.' She says. 'Aww my favorite customer isn't going to stay.' I say. She's clearly confused. She's busy trying to find her credit card in her bag. Her bag looks stuffed. There's a line forming behind her. She looks over her shoulder. 'You know what nevermind. I'm in a hurry anyway.' She says. 'Here. This one is on us.' I say as I hand her the cup. I made her usual order already. I knew she was coming around this time. 'Oh you don't have to do that. I'll come back tomorrow to pay.' She says. I don't say anything just because I want her to come back tomorrow. When she turns around someone bumps into her and her bag falls on the ground. A bunch of Christmas cards fall out of it. She gasps. 'Anya take over from me.' I say.

'Here you go.' I hand her the last pile of Christmas cards. 'Thank you.' She says. 'No problem.' I say. 'Why did you bring so many Christmas cards?' I ask. 'It's for my job. It's my turn to hand them out.' The girl says. I nod. 'There's a Christmas party tonight do you want to come?' She asks. 'Are you asking me out on a date?' I tease. 'Yes actually, but if you don't want to come I totally understand.' She says. 'Of course I'll come.' I say. 'What's your name?' I ask. 'Clarke Griffin.' She says. 'I'm Lexa.' I say. 'Give me your phone.' She says. I grab it from the bar and give it to her. She puts her phone number in my phone then she smiles and leaves.

I notice Anya's looking at me. 'What?' I ask. 'Nothing.' She says. I roll my eyes and go back to work. It's not busy today. We'll probably get a lot of customers around lunch. Finally after a long day of making coffees and packing muffins I get to go home. Home to my apartment where I live alone.

After eating takeout pizza I watch some tv. I hear a knock on my door. I slowly get up and open the door. 'Costia?' I ask. 'Hey Lex.' She kisses me on my cheek like she always does. She walks straight past me into my apartment. 'What are you doing here?' I ask. 'I was in Polis and I thought I'd stop by.' She says. 'When will you be going back?' I ask. 'Jee Lexa I'm happy to see you too.' Costia says. 'I didn't mean it like that.' I mumble. 'Just give me a damn hug.' I do what I'm told and hug her. 'Why are you here?' I ask. 'No reason. I just wanted to see my best friend on Christmas eve.' Costia says. Lexa lifts her eyebrow. 'Okay fine. I wanted to do this.' She says. She looks to the floor and then back to me. Suddenly she leans in and her lips are on mine. I push her away. 'I'm sorry I shouldn't have, I'm gonna go.' Costia says. Lexa just stands there awkwardly. 'Costia wait.' She says. Costia turns around. 'Why did you do that?' Lexa asks. 'I'm sorry I don't know what I was thinking.' Costia says. 'Costia stop lying.' Lexa says. 'My father again?' I ask. 'Yeah.' Costia says embarrassed. 'Tell him I'm not coming back to that business. I'm fine with my coffee shop.' I say. Costia nods. 'Also us dating would never work out.' Lexa chuckles. Costia smiles. 'Bye Lex.' She says.

Echo: You're so stupid omg

Lexa: ???

Echo: She's in love with you, you idiot

Lexa: Who???

Echo: Cos

Lexa: What???

Echo: She came back home crying, you rejected her. Did

you have to say you two would never work?!

Lexa: She said it was my father again!

Echo: Of course it's not. Are you blind?!

Lexa: Well apparently

Costia: I'm sorry I shouldn't have told you it was your father

Lexa: What's going on Cos?

Costia: I guess I like you. A lot

Lexa: We've tried it Costia you know that. It won't work

Costia: But it's different now. We're older

Lexa: But still the same people.

Costia: Why are you being like this? Is there someone else?

Lexa: Costia don't do that

Costia: So there is someone else.

Lexa: I do have a date tonight, but no there's not someone else yet

Costia: Yet.

Lexa: yet indeed

Costia: Do I at least get a chance to prove myself?

Lexa: Costia I don't have the time and energy to do this right now. I'll talk to you later

Costia: No wait!

I sighed. I don't want to hurt Costia, but I can't date her. We tried three years ago. We nearly killed each other. After a day of spending time with each other in a romantic way we got sick of each other. We had a fight and I got into a car accident. She wanted to try again, but I didn't. I guess she never got over me. I told her we could stay friends, but apparently that isn't enough for her.

I take a shower and dress up for my date with Clarke. She's picking me up in an hour. I hear my phone beeping. I checked it. More messages from Costia, but also one from Clarke.

Clarke: I might not have been very clear when I invited you.

Lexa: How so?

Clarke: It's not an office party with alcohol and music

Lexa: Oh?

Clarke: It's a kid's party. That's why it starts at 8 pm. Lexa: Lucky for you I love kids

Clarke: You do? You didn't seem the type at all.

Lexa: And why is that miss Griffin?

Clarke: Curious?

Lexa: Intrigued

Clarke: Hmmm

Lexa: tell me

Clarke: I don't know the t-shirt and leather jacket that hung over your chair.

Lexa: Well that wasn't mine

Clarke: oh...

Lexa: What do I wear?

Clarke: Just something casual. I'm wearing jeans and a sweater.

Lexa: I'd rather see you without them

Clarke: There are kids next to me

Lexa: Already there?

Clarke: Yeah I work here remember

Lexa: Right

Clarke: I wanna kiss you

Lexa: I thought there were kids next to you

Clarke: I'm in my car now. Picking you up.

Lexa: Kiss me when you get here ;)
