When I came into the world, my big green eyes disgusted my aristocratic progenitor who exiled his only daughter in the "White Castle", a cold and gloomy castle, I never saw this man again at least until the last year when he saw the beauty that emanated from his 16 year old daughter. He then named me Serena, years after my birth and introduced to the night world in order to find me the best possible match, I found favor in the eyes of many vampires but despite this, despite their wealth and their vampiric beauty, none found favor with mine, they were way too hypocritical, way too sure of themselves, way too clean on themselves, a little too perfect. Today I am very happy to have never responded favorably to any marriage proposal and my father too because being considered by the population of the capital of this kingdom as "the rose of millions of colors" which is the highest title that a young girl could have, it was more than likely that I was one of the 19 teenagers selected to have the chance to become the queen but also the wife of prince Ludvig.

From an abandoned and rejected child, I had become an extremely beautiful woman and loved by the population selected to become one of the lucky ones who could become the person loved by the beautiful, the magnificent Prince Ludvig Rahjaïne. I could consider myself lucky now because my chance to find love had arrived.

It took me nearly a week to prepare all of my things before heading to the palace after the letter arrived because even if I was rejected by the crown prince, I would still be promised to one of the 3 princes, little brothers of the heir prince having respectively 19 years, 18 years and 17 years or the son of one of the ministers of the senate, I therefore had to gather my clothes, prepare my essential items and those that could be be useful in my new life. Unlike most young ladies who would have cried every tear of their body in a farewell that can tear the skies, I left with my head held high without the slightest tear or affection for a father who acted as I did not exist for 16 years but facing the carriage, there was a major problem that I had to face and which bore the unbearable name of Lucien.

Lucien was the first vampire I met and the first who asked to me in wedding, he might be an extremely handsome man but he was neither interesting nor captivating and no feelings germinated in my body and in my heart but he clung to me, desperately believing that I would fall under his spell.

"- Serena, you are really going to go to the palace to marry one of the princes or the son of a minister whereas I love you and I am ready to take care of you for eternity. Don't go ... " Lucien began until I cut him short as I walked past him.

"- No one has allowed you to talk to me so familiarly, we have no relationship and yes I'm going to the palace, my life is just beginning and I'm not going to waste it with a jerk!"

I then put one foot on the step in front of me and climbed into the carriage while Lucien, speechless, watched me follow the path of my destiny before shouting as the door closed.

"- I will enlist in the Imperial Army then to be by your side."
