AT THE SOUTH POLE
It was a bitter cold down in the open terrain of Ambitentia. There was nothing but snow and underground icy caverns. No human life could survive the never-ending snowstorms and blazing coldness the snowy continent has to offer, but the animals that lived and thrived there could survive: penguins and sea lions.
A few selected animals could survive the coldness of Planet Earth's far bottom southern corner. At the bottom of Earth, Ambitentia was a large landmass of snow, and it was never a place for humans to live.
For a human to live in such a bittering cold terrain of snow and the environment that could freeze a human in seconds, the humans would have to live in houses built to protect them from the cold.
For the animals that're native to the South Pole, they could live in the frozen tundra. The penguins, seals, and sea lions spent many thousands of years adapting to the cold. They had fur and skin to protect them from the freezing snowstorms, and they could their young with them.
But even for them, life is hard. Food was scarce for seal and penguins. And snowstorms were always a very trouble experience for the penguins. Even though the penguins did live in Ambitentia, they still had to huddle in large groups to stay warm. This was a way to prevent any penguin from dying.
But even for the cold, a few human companies would go to Ambitentia. A few would film for documentaries or a few would be people from zoos to gather some penguins.
In one instance, a group of humans was in a large size hut with several computers, a long-range scanner built on the roof, and a satellite. It was a small team that consisted of three people: two men and one woman. They have been stationed here by a big military company based in Memleket's southern sea border.
Memleket's entire southern sea border was a base of military barracks and satellite dishes. They would run scanners and scan outer space and the planet for any intimidating threat. In their latest scans, they caught something on the cold continent of Ambitentia. There were scanners placed on the continent to check for weather patterns, but the scanners placed on Ambitentia were scanning something happening beneath the surface. Deep beneath the surface.
So, the group of three was sent by Memleket's military force to investigate what was happening in Ambitentia.
They are named Adam, Brittney, and Vincent. Adam was the chief engineer of the group while Brittney was the software designer. Vincent was an expert scouter of Ambitentia. The three of them made camp in a large hut constructed of top quality stone and wood that kept the cold from entering the hut.
For three months, they have been stationed in the hut, which was filled of computer equipment and hardware that didn't come cheap. It was rather expensive hardware that took several years of the most experienced computer programmers to put together and ship it to the cold continent. It was even more expensive to build the hut to store the equipment and hardware so all the cables and wires don't freeze up.
Through many month of construction, the hut was built and the equipment was shipped, piece-by-piece. After eleven months of construction and devotement, the hut was ready and the small team was set.
After the group settled in, they started setting more scanners to see more detail of what was happening beneath the surface of the ice.
"I'm telling you, guys, there is something moving beneath the ice," said Brittney. Brittney was a red hair woman in her thirties, and she was married to a husband who was a dentist.
"Yeah," replied Vincent. Adam was a black hair man in his late fifties. "There's a high-level reading coming on the long range scanner. Looks like something is coming from the ground."
