"Are you serious?" I harshly whispered to Jeff.
"C'mon, it's not that hard- I've done it before, it'll work." He argued back, fixing the bag he had around his arm.
This man seriously wants me to go into someone's house to help capture them, they could have dogs or kids- they could have a gun!
"Fine, just fine!" I threw my hands down in defeat, Jeff pats my head.
"Good, we had a deal."
"Now, climb in through the window and go unlock the back door- don't make any noise and try to be quick."
He slightly pushed me to the house we were standing around, nervously- I approached it, getting closer to the window the more scared I became.
The window is probably locked.
I slid window open carelessly, of course it's unlocked- carefully, I climbed in,taking small but cautious steps.
I couldn't help but breath so heavily, I was scared to death- with my heart beating in my ears I made my way through the house, there was a small hallway leaving to a back room.Following that hallway, I saw the back door- and unlocked it as quietly as I could, Jeff came in a few seconds after.
"Alright, stay here by the door." He whispers, I nod my head.
My back hit the wall as I waited, I peered outside the door and into the darkness- there was nothing else to do but wait.
I heard shuffling from above me, then footsteps coming down the stairs.
The women's hands were bound together, a cloth tightly wrapped around her mouth and eyes- she was wearing shorts and a T-shirt, I painfully watched as Jeff slightly dug his weapon into her throat.
"Make any noise or try to run, I'll kill you." He threatened.
The scared women nodded her head but let out a quiet, muffled sob- I opened the door and we took off, the poor women had no shoes or socks on, she was freezing.
"Won't she get frostbite?" I asked.
"It doesn't matter, she's dying either way." Jeff said.
The women whimpered, I noticed how she began to limp- she was taking slower, Jeff eventually got annoyed and called her out.
"Hey lady,pick up the pace!"
Her apologies were muffled by the cloth tied around her mouth.
Seeing the familiar path that I once ran to chase my cat, the surroundings felt familiar- I even saw shoe prints imprinted in the snow, it was slightly covered by a soft new coat.
The house was close, and my heart was beating so hard that I couldn't even hear what Jeff said to me- I heard mumbling, so I apologized and said;
"What did you say?"
"I said, don't be so nervous- everyone may look intimidating but really mostly everyone here is nice."
I nodded my head, easy for you to say- I'm traumatized by my own actions, while he seems content with his day.
So meeting these odd people who have murdered other people as well, seems- extremely off and concerning almost. The fact that I could've been killed by them gives me chills.
"Slender asks a lot of questions so just answer them honestly, and if you smoke weed- lie about not smoking. That's what I do anyway." Jeff says, opening the door.
The warmth from inside struck my revealed face and hands, the place seemed so cozy and peaceful- before I took another step, Jeff stopped me.
"Take your shoes off first."
"Oh- I'm sorry." I quickly untied the knotted shoe laces and placed my shoes together by the wall.
"Jeff it's the middle of the night- oh, who is this?" A man came from around the corner, I noticed the small beginning of steps from his direction.
He had blonde wavy hair and he wore this green outfit, his eyes were red but everything around them was black- as he approached us, I looked closer at his features, blood was coming from his eyes and down to his neck.
His complexion was a light grayish, but his soft smile got rid of all the fear his looks gave.
"This is Y/n, the girl who I returned the cat to- turns out, she's like us. So, I invited her to live here." He explains, the women he was holding against him wobbled back and forth- as if she was drunk.
"Here, go take the food to slender and I'll talk with Y/n." The rather short boy said.
Jeff walks off- Wait a second, did he say food?
"I'm Ben." He states.
"What did you mean when you called that lady food?" I asked, completely disregarding his attempt to introduce himself.
"Exactly what I said, she's food- well, to slender at least."
"He eats people?" Mumbling out my words, my brain heaved with questions and concerns- my body froze and my hands became sweaty.
"Yup-" Ben says.
"Anyways, I'll show you around until Jeff gets back." Ben walks in front of me and I hesitantly follow him, he turned the corner and we landed in the living room.
A couch sat facing a T.V, a small coffee table placed in front of it-
"This is the living room."
I hummed in response, I looked around to the area- everything was so nice and clean in here. The outside of the house looks so abandoned.
"If we go back here, it leads into the dining room."
We went down two stair steps and a oddly large dining table stood among us, all the chairs tucked in, candles sitting in the middle of the wooden table.
"The kitchen is right over there-" we traveled back to the front door and straight down the hall was the kitchen.
"You're really quiet, you doing alright?" Ben asked.
"I'm just really confused about basically everything right now, plus I'm exhausted." I answered.
There was a small hallway past the kitchen,it went past the large staircase where Ben came from- he said down that hall were an office, closet and a bathroom.
"Hey I'm back." Jeff hopped down the stairs, the mask he was wearing all day was off- his mouth was cut from each side, almost going up to his ears, the cuts looked scarred and scabbed.
"You're lucky there's one more guest room, slender said you can take it- he'll talk to you in the morning." Jeff said.
"Here I'll show you since it's right next to my room, thanks Ben." Jeff nudged his head to follow him.
Turning, I waved bye at Ben as I walked up the spiral stairs-he waved back.
"We recently had someone leave, so you get her room- she left everything here, including her clothes so feel free to go through them." He chirped.
"What happened to her?"
Jeff paused for a moment.
"Well, she broke some rules and-she got banished from here."
