Chapter seventeen

Trust

The hospital turned into a huge mess when the electricity blew up on the rooftop.

The power went out for a couple of minutes, making people scream and panic, some of them even running away.

"What the hell happened?" Flora cried out when she saw them bringing Isaac in with bad burns covering his body.

Her mind was full of Stiles but when she saw lifeless Isaac she suddenly hoped that Stiles was safe with the doctors because the young werewolf had no one.

"He got electrocuted." Allison cried out as she held his hand. "He pushed me out of the way."

Flora's skin got paler as she ran next to the doctors who were hurrying Isaac into a hospital room to get him help as fast as they could.

"Don't even think about taking the pain from him, you know you will feel it even after he's fine." Allison whisper-shouted at her friend. She might be falling for the boy but she wouldn't allow Flora to sacrifice a piece of her health.

"He would do the same for me!" Flora urged, sending a pleading glance towards the girl. "He's like my brother."

Allison gulped as she moved her eyes from Flora to the young werewolf. "Just call your dad." She whispered.

Flora's breath hitched when she remembered that her father had a right to know. "Sure." She breathed out, her hand grasping the phone out of the pocket of her jeans.

"Two people said they saw Stiles's jeep leave the hospital."

Flora's ears picked up a voice coming from behind her, noticing the two officers standing nearby.

Flora was numb.

She hasn't slept in three nights in a row, only surviving on energy drinks and liters of coffee.

Stiles was a 'nogitsune'.
(At least that's what Derek and Scott said to her)

The girl ran a hand over her tired face as she sat next to her father and Allison in the hospital, waiting for any kind of news about Isaac, who was currently in a coma while Stiles was still missing.

And it's been longer than forty-eight hours.

Flora was terrified for both of them and it made her furious that she could do nothing about it.
She nudged the sleeping Argent girl next to her when she saw Scott step out of the elevator with his mom.
