School's over and after finishing up your assignments, you packed up your things and went back home. You grabbed the key to your apartment and unlocked the door. "I'm home." No answer, as usual. You stepped inside and sighed.

You assumed that your brother was at his usual place, that's why he isn't home. You got changed and took the piece of paper that your brother gave you which contains the location of his usual hangout, just in case. You exited the apartment and locked the door.

You walked down the slightly crowded street. The location was still quite far so you'll probably arrive there at dusk.

~Small Time skip~

30 minutes have passed and you've  almost arrived at your destination. "Okay...just go straight ahead and turn right." As you were walking, you noticed a man in his 20s and a girl around your age, near a dark alleyway. The girl looked like she's being forced into something so you decided to check it out.

"Hey! Let go of me!". The girl shouted. "Shh, don't be so loud, miss. Come on, just for a while...it'll be fun~". Your eyes widened and that's when you knew that you couldn't just stand there, you had to do something.

"Hey, the girl said to leave her alone." You interfered. The two turned to you and the male smirked. "And what if I don't want to? You can't do anything about it girlie. I bet you're just a little weakling who-" Before the man could finish his sentence, you kicked him in the stomach at a blink of an eye. The man hit the wall before hitting the ground. The girl's jaw dropped at this

"Guess all that training paid off after all." You grabbed the girl's hand gently. "We'll be off now, sir! Oh and um, sorry about that!" And with that you and the girl made your escape.

"I think we're safe." You stopped running to catch your breath before looking at the girl. "Are you okay?" You asked while scanning the girl's facial features.

The girl had blonde curly hair and pretty darkish blue eyes. She didn't respond for a while and she looked kinda shocked which made you raise an eyebrow, concerned.

"Is something wrong?" The girl snapped out of her thoughts and waved her hands. "O-oh! Yeah, I'm fine. Thanks for saving me..." She thanked you. You sighed in relief hearing that she was alright and smiled.

"My pleasure! By the way, what's your name? Perhaps we can be friends." You grinned. After hearing your question, the girl looked a bit nervous but it was soon replaced with a sigh as she looked down. "A-aoi..." She whispered, locking eyes with you. "My name is Aoi." She said, a bit more louder this time. You smiled, remembering a certain purple haired boy.

"Woah, what a coincidence! I also have a friend named Aoi. Well, it's nice to meet you, Aoi! I'm Y/n. I hope we'll get along well!" You shook her hand as you give her a close eyed smile. Aoi blushed slightly before shaking her head.

You look around and realized that it was getting late. "Ah, it's getting late. Where are you headed? I can accompany you there so that those bastards don't pester you again." You offered. "Well um, I'm heading in that direction." She pointed towards the direction where you were headed.
