Stiles bit his bottom lip to stop another sarcastic remark from coming out, hearing low growls from his friends in the corner.
"We figured it would be more useful, seeing as you found yourself a little group of friends." Gerard nodded to the pack chained up in the corner. "We didn't want them causing any trouble, so we figured we might as well bring them here to see it."
"See what?" Stiles asked, although he was quite sure he knew what it was. The syringe was going to turn him into a werewolf- while also being a fox. He didn't know if that was going to be possible, but it was either him or eight people who saved him and had lives. He knew the obvious choice.
"Your transformation, Stiles." Gerard said, pulling a small remote out of his pocket, which Stiles assumed controlled the electricity. "Now, if you don't want this little pack to get electrocuted to death, I would advise that you sit down in the chair."
Stiles glanced at the pack, at Derek. Several of them frantically shook their heads, telling him no; but he couldn't have them die. Not when they saved him from Gerard, when they welcomed him into their pack even though werewolves were known to hate foxes. Not when he loved Derek so much, he couldn't be the cause of the death of all of these people. So Stiles cast a small smile over to them, not meeting their eyes as he walked over towards the chair, sitting down as he heard Gerard laugh appreciatively. The wolves began to fight against their chains, muffled yells coming from behind the makeshift gags.
But Stiles let Gerard strap the familiar hand around his left wrist, the old man moving to strap down Stiles' right.
As Gerard reached forwards, Stiles grabbed the man's arm, his grip tightening as he focused on the man's life form, a dark black ball in the center of his chest. Gerard gasped, as if he realized what Stiles was doing as he slowly felt himself becoming weaker, stabbing the syringe haphazardly into Stiles' neck, making the boy shudder as the liquid was injected into his bloodstream.
Derek roared as Stiles' hand fell away from Gerard's arm, his power no longer there for some reason, as the old man stumbled away and out of the room, probably to call backup or collect himself, drained although still functional.
Stiles felt so... strange. It seemed to feel hot all the sudden, like a hot flash, but his hands and toes were so cold, as if they had just been dipped in cold water. He looked over to the pack, who were staring at him with worried eyes.
"I'm fine." Stiles choked out, his voice cracking as he told them the obvious lie. "Just hot, is all." He looked at the restraint on his wrist, now it seemed like the most secure thing ever, his limbs too heavy as the injection began to take its effect.
Stiles began to tug at it, wishing so badly that he was at his best right now. Even the added life that he had stolen from Gerard was nothing compared to whatever the fuck was happening to him. He gasped, pushing his head back against the chair as the pain stung in his chest.
The pack watched as his fist tightened, knuckles becoming white before he pulled his arm towards him, the thick leather bond snapping in two and releasing him from its weak hold. Stiles got up, leaning heavily on the chair as he took gasping breaths, stumbling over to the wall where the electrical current was coming from, grabbing the rubber wires in his hand and promptly ripping them out of the box they were in.
With the werewolves chains no longer electrified to shock them with their every move, Derek easily snapped the thin metal chains, pulling the gag down to his neck as he ran over to Stiles, his arm propping up Stiles' left side as the others freed Allison and Lydia.
"I'm fine, Derek," Stiles mumbled, sweat dripping down his face. "Really." Isaac came to Stiles' other side, helping the fox stand as he was slipping away from Derek.
The door suddenly burst open, stopping everyone in their tracks.
It was Chris Argent. Holding a huge ass gun.
He took one look at Stiles, being propped up by the two werewolves, and stepped aside. "You can take my car."
Derek frowned for a moment before catching the keys in his free hand, nodding at Chris in thanks before motioning to Isaac, helping Stiles quickly out of the building.
"Thank you dad." Allison said, staying behind for a moment and casting a worried glance out the hallway. Chris nodded, sighing.
"I draw the line at experimentation on innocent teenagers," Chris said. "Now go support your friend." Allison nodded, pressing a kiss to her father's cheek, before running out and getting into Lydia's car.
The pack that went to school had brought Lydia's car, although it wasn't large enough to fit Derek and Stiles as well, so the two as well as Isaac took Argent's truck, speeding off to the animal clinic.
It felt like a long drive, Derek constantly looking up from where he was driving to Stiles in the backseat. The boy had stopped talking and starting mumbling a few minutes before, although what he was saying made no sense. His skin was red as if he had been in the heat and he constantly shifted from where he was lying down across the seats.
He groaned out loud as they pulled into the parking lot, Isaac jumping out as Derek slowed and helping Stiles out of the car, Lydia already there and inside with the rest of the pack.
"Get him on the table." Deaton ordered quickly, clearing the countertop. "The injection, what did it look like?"
The pack looked around frantically. None of them actually paid attention to the color of it, did they?
"Silver," Liam spoke up. "It was this metallic silver." Deaton nodded in thanks as the boy answered, feeling for Stiles' pulse before pulling something out of the cabinets.
"Stiles, I need you to open your eyes." Deaton said, his voice loud and clear for the struggling boy on the table.
"I don't think I can." Stiles said through gritted teeth. "They burn." Deaton frowned, and Derek assumed that wasn't a good thing.
Deaton took a light out of his pocket, getting closer to Stiles' face as he pried Stiles' eyes open, some of them gasping as they saw the color of his irises.
Silver.
