1. First Day

Tess POV
I entered the The Baxter-Grayson house to eat their as I normally did but this time was slightly different as today was the first day of High School and after the whole High school party incident I wasn't trusting nobody their except for my best friend Nia

"Ayyee, Nia Booker, and Small fry"

I said why making another joking Nickname for Levi, Levi rolled his eyes and laughed Booker gave me a handshake and Nia hugged me good morning which I loved because Nia is always so sweet and honestly I'm kinda crushing on her but I can tell anyone I'm bi what would they or say like Ms B would probably say "ya nasty" I don't know. Nia sat next to me my cheeks were feeling warm already
"Tess, since today is the first day of school you know their having a freshman parade," Nia said smiling joyfully, I wasn't paying attention I was looking at that cute smile that ran across her face as her brown eyes sparked "Yeah, sure," I replied not really remembering what she said, she laughed and just continued to eat......

Nia has had this crush on a boy named Niles...I hate him but Nia finds him cute so I guess I can't judge, of course my feelings for Nia was effectively making me hate him not that I was complaining if anything it was ironic in a sense that I would be so infatuated with my ethereal best friend that my feelings of love became feelings of hate towards Miles as she would swoon over him which I couldn't help I wished she looked at me like she looked at him but I guess I can't have her....

We entered our new High School as Seniors and Juniors yelled at us "Freshmeat" which was...annoying to say the least "Here it is locker 318A," I said as Nia got her locker next to mines "Locker 319A," she said quite focused "Why are you looking like that," I asked slightly concerned "Well it's that Miles is here too," I immediately internally Screamed in frustration but I kept my eyes on Nia "And he has a Locker next to ours and I'm hoping that he notices me," Nia said Blushing a little, My internal Hatred of that boy almost showed had it not been for booker who came over to us sad "What's wrong Booker?," Nia asked, Booker sighed "It's not the same without Levi here," Booker said sadly, I tapped him on the shoulder "Don't worry Booker you'll see him when we get him," I said reassuringly Booker smiled a little "You're right", he said "I shouldn't have to worry," He smiled as the Bell rang for 1st period.

Nia sat next to Miles on his right I sat next to her on her left they were giggling why I was quiet considering that we had no work and then I came up with an idea I took out a piece of paper and started to write "Dear Nia, I love your beautiful smile and your strawberry smell," I stopped it was outside of my character to write something like this but I was so in love with her that I couldn't help her and writing (as well as rapping) helped me express my self better so I continued "I love your voice and your body," I blushed while writing that but it was true "I Love you more than you know, Signed anonymous," I finished Nia looked over and I foiled the paper quickly "Whatya writing," "Umm nothing!" "Oh, umm you okay," "Yeah I'm fine, Completely fine!!," I smiled hard why Nia just looked at me like I was crazy (it was cute but still).....

After school ended we were still in the building as Nia tried out for Climate clubs and extra curriculum as I had already tried out for basketball over the summer, I just stood by my locker waiting for her as I was going to get a bag of chips out of my backpack I saw the letter 'she wouldn't know it's me it is anonymous' I said to myself in my head I slowly pulled out the letter and slipped it into the crack of the locker door 'She won't know until the morning' I thought as she walked around the corner "You ready Tess?" "Yeah let's go," I replied as we left out the door and went home.

Dinner at the Baxter-Carter house was my favorite as Booker and Levi were talking about they're day respectively and Nia were talking to me about Miles as Ms B and Ms G were in the Kitchen "Miles said that this dress is cute on me," Nia said smiling I gave a thumbs up not really caring what that asshole Miles said about my girl 'Wow where did that come from' I wondered as my thoughts were going all over the place "So I know y'all are happy that the first day of school was a Friday," Ms. B said cheerfully "Yeah, Now I have two days of peace," Booker said as Ms. B and Ms. G sat down with us "Mom, did you dye your hair blonde again," Levi asked "Oh so you noticed," Ms. G said laughing in her usual semi-oblivious tone as I kept eating "So Booker any Crushes," Levi said smirking as we all just looked at Booker, I knew he wasn't fully over Dani but I also knew that he probably had a crush on someone "This girl name Madi," "Ooohhhhh," we all said collectively as he rolled his eyes "It's not that serious...yet," Booker said whispering the last part that everyone pretty much heard we all looked at each other in confusion.

After dinner I had went home and was getting ready to go to bed when Nia texted me...
Nia💕: Tess Miles asked me out!!
I immediately felt a pain in my stomach as she said that it hurt so much

I put down the phone and turned over as I slowly started to feel tears going down my face as the girl I was in love with had a Boyfriend.......
