" Is everything alright?" I asked getting up. "Aww man, I'm fine. Just got a little hurt on my toe." Rose reassured. "How did you got hurt, Rosie?" I asked her coming towards her to check everything was alright.
"I told you I'm good, just got hurt with this silly book," she said keeping the book on the table and handing me over my purple notepad and a pen.
"Well, this isn't a silly book," I told her taking a close look. "Yeah, maybe you're right." She mumbled peeking over the mysterious book.
" Criminal Parker " I read aloud. Then I took a heavy breath. "What's up?" she asked me looking at my face. "What's this book about?" she asked. "Hmmm..... This book belongs to my grandma." I explained going on the way we're my huge Purple luggage was resting. "So what does it have to be connected to you?" she asked confused. "You see, she always used to narrate this story every night, when I was just 4 years..." I told. "Ok, so what happens in the story? Do you remember?" she asked hesitantly. "Yeah, I think I know a little bit," I said remembering. "So It is decided that I'm going to bring this book to my trip and Amelia's going to love it!" I exclaimed clapping my hands. Then I carefully kept the novel in my purse.
"Okay, so where were we?" Rose asked. "Let's get back to work and note down all things which are present in the luggage!" I said winking. A few moments later, we had already packed our luggage and were taking a nice nap hoping our trip will be the most memorable moments of our life..........
......... 2 hours later........
"Hurry Rosie!" I exclaimed, "They are going to leave us behind. We are already 25 minutes late!" I shouted looking into my watch one last time. "Shoot! Can you help me tie the shoelace sis?" she asked making a very innocent face that I could never resist! I bend down to help her cuz she usually has a problem tying the shoelace."What is the name of heaven is taking you both so long? We are already late!" cried Celine peeping in the main hall. "We are done!" I said and grabbed Rose's hand and soon we scampered off in a taxi head for Heathrow Airport. "I'm getting goosebumps already!" exclaimed Amelia. "Yeah me too bro!" said Cath teasing Amelia who hates to be called 'bro'.
Soon we reached the airport almost in the nick of the time before the Airplane headed for Potsdam...
When we reached the airport, it was warm inside, as soon as we walked out of the place a cold wind caressed us.
The sun was setting bathing the huge airport into dark shades of orange and red.
"Let's head to the hotel first and then after refreshing, we will have dinner together," said Celine as we trailed behind her like that of ducklings following their mother. As we sat in the taxi, we saw malls and cafeterias, and parks filled with thick snow.
After we reached our destination, when we entered the hotel lobby, A warm atmosphere greeted us with different types of people around us. Talking in German.
Sweet honey! I couldn't understand a word they were saying. But thanks to Celine she talked to the man at the corner of the hall and took us to our rooms.
After refreshing up, we met at the lobby and scurried away to a cafe called Cafe A la Russe. We spent the night there ( well not the whole night but yes we spent a little time there) "I'm full!" I cried my words came out in cold puffs. "Now it is sleeping time. Isn't it?" I asked hoping the answer would be yes, but of course, Celine who loved exploring was not giving up. "Of course, No. Why there is more time, it's just 8 o'clock. We usually sleep at noon right?" she said shoving Laura who was as energetic as a baby kangaroo.
"Oh dear, look at this poor creature, it's feeling cold. Celine, you all go. I and Goldie will be waiting for you all in the hotel. She is feeling cold." said Amelia patting the dog who had accompanied us!. "Alright, I will leave you there but be careful," said Celine. Then after dropping Amelia in the hotel we went for a little sightseeing. I admit that it was worth exploring a beautiful place than my goodnight sleep!!
After strolling for 2 hours, we were more tired than ever. As soon as we entered our rooms, we got dressed into nightgown and gathered in Catharine's room to talk about today's fun. I suddenly remembered I had bought the book Criminal Parker! I really wanted to show them! so I took the book out of my bag and showed it to them.
"Wow!! From where did you got this book!" asked Celine and Amelia in unison who were total bookworms. I and Rose gave them a funny look. We burst out laughing...
"What are we waiting for? let's get started!" cried Celine snatching the book from mia. I comforted myself, wrapping the blanket around me plus Rose's arm wrapping me around my shoulders. (Well she does that every time we gather for a creepy story. She doesn't want me to be separated from her and get scared half to death. Just so sweet)with hot chocolate and dark chocolate in my hands.
Then Celine began to read aloud. It was a story of a thief, a very clever thief. He murdered and did a lot of scary things which creep me out! especially when Celine said that Parker killed his wife, I threw the chocolate which was in my mouth and hugged Rose tightly hoping I won't have nightmares about it. And she even read that the thief lived in hidway underground like similar to the hole in which Alice fell( well it's not so deep first of all and is extra dark with not even a ray of light present in the place!) I almost jerked when I heard her say. Once Parker even stole gold from the compartment train! A moving train! I just can't believe that. "It's all fake! How can someone attack a moving train right?" I told Rose almost in whispers. "Yeah. That really doesn't make sense like how can anyone attack a moving train? The person jumps on the moving train and also break in! What a story!" said Rose. She almost said aloud. The words reached Celine's ears and she said to her sister " A fool always remains a fool!" "Criminals can do anything to get rich and they really can attack a moving train!" said Cathrine who was usually was good at explaining. We both gulped and thought " what if the criminals attack our train while we are inside!! That really crept us out! "Parker had a group of men to work for him. Their loyalty compared to that of a dog was more! Some men were even killed for not telling them where he lived!" Read Celine, her eyes still glued on the book. "He really was a lucky man" commented Amelia. I fell asleep in the middle of the story when I saw Laura leaving the room and after a while, there was a loud was a loud cry, we hurried to see what had happened, as soon as we burst open the door we gasped!
