After being discharged from the nurse's office I headed to my room and invited those that I could"Thanks for coming"
"No problem (y/n) were here for you"
"Right thanks, so like I said earlier I would explain the scar and mask deal.... Or really what I can remember"
"Remember what's that mean?" Weiss asked raising her hand
"Well the thing is..... I don't know much about my past..... All I can really remember is how I got this scar and a few random things like where I lived and stuff I learned.... The rest is like a heavy haze, a fog covers my head"

"Yeah it's alright people forget things" Nora said"Or maybe this means or world really is fake and your hazy memories are just a fact of the author not knowing what to do"sge finished looking to the ceiling with a crazed look

(A couple years ago)
"Dammit catch that faunus" one of the guards yelled to the other one
"I'm going as fast as I can" I dodged through the trees as fast as I could trying to lose them before I hit a dead end"Hahaha looks like the stray has run out of luck"he said taking out his stun baton and turning it on.
'I can't climb this while they're looking at me, what can I do? ' I thought grabbing a rock and threw it at him hitting him in the head.
"Ow that does it" he charged forward cracking his weapon to max charge before he bashed the right side of my face burning it.
"Hey, hey wait don't kill it idiot, the job was to secure the target then bring it back to the lab"
"Yeah well I think it's too dangerous to be left alive, so let's just tell them it had an accident"
As they were distracted with eachother I took the chance to climb "God you just hate faunus that much!!!"
"That ain't the issue kid!!! Hey... Its getting away gimme that" the older of the two grabbed the other's guy rifle and shot at me hitting my right ear taking half away, I fell off the wall and roughly landed on the ground"Ok that's it were done here!! "he yelled roughly giving pushing the rifle back into his buddy's hands.
" Stay away from me!! "I yelled back at him'I don't wanna be here

No pov
As the soldier approached (y/n) she slowly backed up until she hit the wall, the soldier grabbed by the shoulder and lifted her up "Gotc-"he was cut off as a glow enveloped her and then a bright glow appeared as a fiery explosion went off, scorching both soldiers.
Just  few yards away (y/n) appeared out of nowhere scorching the ground were she landed.

(Present)
"So let me get this right, that scar was caused by two atlas soldiers because....?" Gwen tried putting all together but came up short.
"Well I used to think because you know Atlas and faunus... The hate there but now I guess.... Maybe they're was something else"
"Thank you for sharing that with us (y/n), I'm sorry that happened to you... But that still doesn't explain why you wear the mask"
"Well I was scared.... What if the people that looked for me recognise me seeing my face the scar... So I was scared... And it's ugly looking, i-"
"Never say that about yourself,youre the most precious thing in the world!!!" Momo yelled crushing me in a hug
"(Y/n) whoever was looking for you they'll never touch again, you have my word ill protect you" Mikasa said grabbing my hand.
"T-thanks, maybe we can move onto something less depressing let's go eat I'm starving"
"Yes too the cafeteria!!!" Nora declared grabbing me and pulling me out the room.

(Days later)
Now that we were free from classes for summer break, I decided today to head into Vale, I kept my mask on I decided I'll take it off around my friends but random people no.
I was walking through the park when I stumbled across a beautifully designed umbrella laying beside a bench. "Who left this here.... Its actually quite nice" I picked it up"I can try and find the owner I guess, got nothing better to do" the weird thing was why was someone with an umbrella on a sunny day in summer no less,i walked around asking different people to no avail I was about to give up and leave when I spotted a short girl with pink and brown hair looking around frantically for something, it looks like she gave up as she sat down and pulled her scroll out, I walked over to her with the bella behind me"Um hello? "she looked up to me, she had two different color eyes both on the brink of crying" Is this yours by any chance? "I asked her showing her the umbrella.
Her face instantly lit up as she wiped away her tears and snatched the umbrella away, she pulled a sign out of nowhere that said" Thanks for finding my umbrella, I'm neo what's your name?"
(Neo is a mute so I'm going to use her illusion to "Talk" but I'm still writing she said)
"I'm (y/n) and it was no problem, I just saw it laying there and thought it would be a shame to leave it" I told her as the sigh she had broke into glass before dissappearing'Must be her semblance'
"This umbrella means a lot to me I have to thank you, there's this small ice cream parlor here wanna go there my treat" she said
"I've... I've never had ice cream... Before" I told with prompted her to stand up
(Just go with it)
"Really... But its the best, now we have to go" she grabbed my hand and we walked to the parlour, once we got inside the owner seemed to recognise Neo as he called out to her.
"Ahh Neo it's been a while the usual I assumed?" he asked to which she nodded"And what about your friend?"he asked referring to me, I walked up to the counter and looked at all the flavours.
" There's so many "I said as question marks appeared on my mask.
" What is this the first time you have ice cream? "he asked as I nodded "Wow you live under a rock don't ya, I guess it's best just to go with vanilla, take a seat and someone will bring it to ya" he told us, we sat in a booth in the corner and waited until a girl came and served us, she gave me the vanilla ice cream and gave Neo a multiflavour one.
'Those colors match her' I thought as she dug in, I picked up my spoon and poked the ice cream, I looked at Neo who was looking at me.
"Gonna try it, it's sweet" I scooped out a bit and tried putting in my mouth only for it to splatter on my mask, confused I suddenly remembered I was still wearing my mask, I looked up and saw Neo mutely giggling to herself"You might want to take it off".
Embarrassed I took my mask off and placed on the table and wiped it off, when I tried to get my spoon it was missing, I looked to see Neo holding it she scooped a bit out and held in front of me 'This is embarrassing but I want  to try it' swallowing whatever pride I had I took the offered bite off the spoon, my mouth exploded with flavour, not waiting I took the spoon from her and dug in, not long my head started hurting and I stopped "Ow what the hell?" I asked looking to Neo
"If you go too fast you'll get a brain freeze" she explained
"Ow, aw I'm almost finished as well" I whined seeing my cup pretty much empty, Neo grabbed my spoon.
"Here try some of mine it's great" she scooped a bit out, I tried to grab the spoon but she pulled away and wagged her finger"I can't trust you too not go fast say aww".

Neo pov
I held out the spoon waiting for to take a bit, to my expectation she did and her face lit up again, I gave her another bite then the bell at the door rang as a girl with black hair walked in a and spotted us"Hey (y/n) "she said realising it was (y/n) and walked up to us.
"Hey Momo what are you doing here?" she asked her
"I was just passing by and spotted you... Who's your... Friend?" she asked with a strained smile
"Oh this is Neo I found her umbrella and she wanted to thank me, so she treated me to some ice cream it's amazing"
"Oh really... That's cool"
'Oh I know that tone of voice she's really jealous, let's see how I can push-' my train of thought was cut off as my scroll buzzed, I pulled it out to see who it was, only to tighten my grip in anger'Fucking Cinder wants me, grrr, she's propaly pushing around Román again if I ignored Román will probably get set on fire, sigh' annoyed I stuffed my phone away"Sorry (y/n) I got a text my friend needs me, I enjoyed this we should hang out again, you can have the rest of my ice cream if you like"i told her getting up"And see you too... Momo"i told her walking past her, as I passed (y/n) I slip a piece of paper into her pocket and left.
"Bye Neo see ya next time" she said as I left

So sorry its been a while, the reason been is cause I kinda put myself in a narrative trap being backstory, I personally don't like doing flashback backstories that's why most my stories start at the birth or childhood of the reader.
But now I finally introduced my favorite rwby girl(the only I feel hasn't been ruined yet)
