Part One - An example review:

First Impressions.

A spoiler free summary of your book in two sentences or less.

A review of the cover art.  Does it fit the genre? Does it stand out?  Does it match the contents?

A review of the summary.  Does it grab my attention?  Is it missing something? Does it give too much away?

A review of the opening line.  Does it compel me to keep reading? What does it tell me about the story, and your writing style?

Selling Points.

The parts I really liked or loved about your story, the characters or the plot.

The unique twists or my favourite character and why I liked them.

It might be a particular writing style I rave about.

Or I might talk about the parts that were the most evocative.

Consider This.

If I didn't like something, and think it's something that could be improved on, I'll mention it here.

I always keep criticism constructive - I'll say why I think something could be better as well as suggesting a solution.

When and where would I read it again?

A good review should, in my opinion, motivate you to write again.

There's always a right kind of mood in which to read a book - different moods for different books. I try to end reviews with a reader's guide to help inform them when that book is right for them. I'll also say which readers I'd recommend it to.

Part Two - Payment & Rules:

Please follow MBTabitha if you would like a review, including liking their facebook page, twitter or instagram.

If you'd like to be notified when your review is posted, feel free to add this to your reading list.  Feel free to check out the other books reviewed in this book review.  If we get to 100 reviews, I may do a top ten list, but for now I'm just seeing if there's any interest in this.

Please be respectful.  There is only one reviewer, and there may be a number of review requests.  I will make a contents page to show current requests if there is a backlog, and so you can keep track of where your book is in the queue.  I only guarantee to read the first three chapters and final two chapters in detail, and may skim read the rest.  If you believe there is a key plot twist, please do mention which chapter that occurs in if you think it is worth a more attentive read.

Note: I will not review fanfiction, vampire or werewolf stories.  I'm also not a big horror fan.
I love scifi and fantasy books in particular.

Please make your request in the following format in the chapter comments below:

Title of book.
Username (please make it a link to your page so I can find it easily).
Genre(s).
Special requests (e.g. if there is a key chapter you'd like to draw my attention to).

I won't redo review requests.

Have a lovely day :)
