Part 2: the portal

Asphodel was walking home from school with Zane at her side. They were walking and having a conversation which mostly consisted of Zane telling her sister about her day. Asphodel had a small, barley noticable smile on her face as she watched her younger sister skip along happily. As long as Zane was happy, Asphodel wasn't upset. She had a bad life, yes, but she only cares about how her sister is. They eventually came to the Stark towers. They entered and we're immediately greeted by Jarvis. "Hello miss Zane and Miss Asphodel" Jarvis said. "hello Jarvis!" The girls said in sync. "Should I inform tony of your arrival?" Jarvis asked. "No thank you!" Zane said, and Jarvis said okay.

Asphodel's pov
We then got into the elevator and it took us to the main floor for the Avengers to hang out at. It opens with a ding and everyone looked over and saw us. Most of them smiled at us and Tony came out of his lab and saw us too. "Hey Zane!  How was school?" Tony asked my sister as I walked to put my bag down. Zane paused before replying, "It was pretty okay" with a smile. "Hey Ace! How was your day?" Nat asked me with a small comforting smile as I sat beside her. I shrug, "it was... Okay I guess" I replied quietly. I knew my dad- Tony probably, no, definitely rolled his eyes at Nat for asking me. Tony then went back to his lab after hugging Zane. Zane then walked over to the couch and sat beside me. Nat and I talked a bit while I did homework. She always was there for me when Tony wasn't, well, he never will be there for me.

When the sun began to set

  The sun was setting and I've been hanging out with Nat a bit before she had to train, and Zane. Now Zane and I were sitting in the now empty living room, well, besides us of course. We were simply watching a movie since Zane wanted to. We were cuddled up slightly, with a blanket around us. Halfway through the movie though, the tower seemed to shake slightly. Suddenly a blinding glowing hole popped up and Zane fell in. I immediately jumped after her and grabbed here in my arms as we were falling. I tried to look around to see where we were as Zane was clinging to me for dear life. Suddenly we were out of the light and falling towards a forest. When we were close to the forest I quickly managed to guide us a bit towards a tree.  I grabbed a branch efficiently stopping us from potentially falling to our demise.  Zane was still clinging to me. As I hoisted us both onto the thick branch.  I was breathing heavily and so was Zane. I leaned. Against the trunk of the tree trying to regain my breath.

Meanwhile

Natasha's pov

    I was training until the tower started to shake. I stopped and looked around the room trying to spot a possible source for this. I saw nothing and darted out of the room when it didn't stop.  I ran down to the living room first, knowing the girls were watching a movie. I turned the corner barley in time to see Asphodel dive into the hole?! "Ace!" I shouted and tried to run to her. But the portal thing quickly closed. Just as the portal finished closing, the other avengers came running out to the living room. I was still in shock of what happened when I heard someone call my name. I turned slowly and saw the avengers looking confused at me. "WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?!" I shout at them. They flinch slightly but look confused. "What was what?" Clint asked confused. "WHY DID A PORTAL JUST TAKE ASPHODEL?!" I shouted. All of them looked shocked, even tony might've a little. "Where's Zane?!" Tony asked. I glare at him coldly, "I don't fucking know! Why don't you find your 'liittle princess' while I find Ace?! Why don't you give a SINGLE SHIT ABOUT YOU'RE OWN DAUGHTER?!" I shout angrily. The others looked at him in agreement but he just shook his head. "Now is not the time. Let's just figure out the portal" tony said  sounding annoyed. I growled a bit angrily before following them to the lab. "Jarvis! Do you know what happened?!" I asked still angry at Tony. "Yes miss Romanoff. It appears that the project Dr banner and Mr Stark were working on seemed to open a portal to an Unkown land. Zane fell into the portal and Asphodel jumped in after her" Jarvis announced. When I looked over to Tony in anger I could've sworn I saw guilt flash through his eyes for split second...
