"Hmm." The boy hummed, softly. His longer, shaggy, black hair blew lightly in the wind. "Forgive me, but I must now leave. I may never again return." He murmured, a sadness seated in his voice.
He was sitting cross legged, on top of a grassy hill. In front of him was a great tomb. It was beautiful, made of a pale grey stone. Each corner had a hero crouching next to it.
One was another boy. The statue seemed to have a joyful mischievous face. He was clutching a sword, and had it raised, ready to strike away all enemies.
Another was a woman. She was smiling gently, affection in her eyes. Soft words seem to fall from her stone lips. A song. One long ago forgotten. She help a beautiful lance in her hand.
Two more remained. Twins, a girl and a boy. Both had fairly long hair and gentle eyes. The girl had a bow drawn and the boy was holding a dagger.
It's okay. When are you going to learn to forgive? They forgive you, you know. A gentle voice spoke. It was soft and kind.
Out of the luscious forest a spectral figure appeared. It was of a young woman in a sapphire colored dress. Her eyes were a soft grey, and her hair like spun bronze. A sad smile marred her beautiful face.
"They couldn't have. Not after I lead them to death, and did nothing as they died." He murmured. "I am a monster. I didn't even try to save them. Not at all." The way he pronounced made it sound like 'not ta tall'.
You are wrong. A thousand and seventy winters have passed, Sinthylan. They have forgiven you, and they understand why you did what you did. The woman whispered. And I do, too. I will open the portal. Perhaps this is your chance to repent.
"Perhaps." Sinthylan sighed. "Perhaps. Thank you, Kylei."
Farewell, Sin. May the stars and sands of the Mirage ever guide you. It was a last parting sentence. Sad and lonely.
"Farewell, Lady of the Sand." Sin called, waving as he walked through the portal and disappeared.
As he did, a single tear seemed fall to from the Singing Lady's stone eyes, and their affection seemed to turn to mourning.
The Lady of the Sand, Kylei, turned toward the statue and brushed aside the tear.
Forgive me, Mayana. He was needed elsewhere. He will return, someday. I'm sure. Kylei soothed. She sounded uncertain. But there was a pride in her voice.
Sin was on his way to repenting.

"Harry!!! Harry!!" Ron yelled, excitedly.
"What, Ron?" Harry asked, hurrying along to Transfiguration. McGonagall would not be happy if they were late.
"Did you hear?! There's a new student!" Ron chattered. Harry rolled his Avada Kadavra colored eyes.
"There are loads of new students, Ron. It's fall." He pointed out testily.
"Yes, but this ones different." Hermione stated in that know it all tone.
"How so?" Harry asked, now slightly more intrigued.
"He isn't wearing the school robes, for one. And I've heard he can't use typic magic. Or that he can't use a wand, at least. Also, he looks a great deal like Snape, but somehow more delicate and small... He is also in our year." Hermione said. "As far as I know, he is very intelligent too." Her voice was almost dreamy.
"Hmmm." Was Harry's only response.
"He's in our next class." Ron pointed out.
"Transfiguration?" Harry asked.
