My Rant

A/N: THIS MAY BE EXTREMELY OFFENSIVE. LEAVE NOW. I MAY OR MAY NOT EXAGGERATE. I REPEAT, LEAVE NOW.

I've read many romance stories on this app. Most of them have bad boy/good girl cliché. I understand why many like those.

It gives them hope, that something unusual and random would happen like that in real life. But it's okay if it's a bad boy/bad girl, bad boy/bad boy, good girl/good girl, good girl/bad girl, good boy/bad boy, good boy/good boy, good girl/good boy, bad girl/good boy, you name it. Most popular ones I've seen include the bad boy/bad girl or bad boy/good girl.

I've never seen good boy/good girl or good boy/bad girl. If there are ones, then I haven't seen it, so please recommend some for me!:) Okay, anyways, the boy doesn't ALWAYS have to be bipolar. They don't always have to have tattoos. They don't always HAVE to have "6 pack abs" or "8 pack abs."

Honestly, I like books that are more on the unique and original side. But I can't explore every book because I ain't paying money to read a book (no offense to paid authors it's just that I don't wanna pay). Anyways, so yeah I like books that are more different, but a good different. And the female main characters don't ALWAYS have to have a low self esteem.

I understand low self esteem is what many people have, but the main characters don't have to have a low self esteem. The female main characters don't have to have big, fancy curves like oh my gosh not everything is perfect. Not everybody goes in front of a mirror and says a chapter long description about their self (again no offense to authors who write that, just writing my thoughts). Nobody is probably going to read this anyway, but that's okay.

Oh, and the female main character doesn't ONLY have to describe what the main love interest is like. I feel like the female main character should describe everyone if she's going to describe only one.

And the female main character doesn't have to say a 10-page essay of how hot the guy is. WE GET IT, THE GUY IS HOT. EVERY GUY IN A ROMANCE WATTPAD IS HOT.  WE GET IT. Okay, anyways, the next thing I want to talk about are those romance stories that have a shitty plot (again, in my opinion).

Like the romance books that have the perfect relationship whatsoever, no arguments, mistakes, blah, blah, blah, nothing.

That the relationship is perfect. Truth is, nothing is perfect in life.

And if you're reading this while being in a perfect relationship, okay cool. But what I'm saying is that MOST good relationships aren't perfect. There will be ups and downs, but what matters, is at the end up the day, everyone made up (BY TALKING OFC), and will learn from their mistakes. They say that the most mistakes you make, the more you'll learn.

Yes that's true. But others say that eventually you'll run out of mistakes to make.

Nope that is not true.

It's a never ending cycle (make mistake-learn-make mistake-learn). But that doesn't mean that you can't prevent/lessen them.

When you make a mistake, you can't just say "sorry" and all will be good as new. You have to make up for it. You have to do something that is worthy of forgiveness. I'm not saying that when you make a mistake, everything will be fine at the end.

I'm saying that when you make a mistake no matter how big or small, you have to make up for it. If you don't want to, then okay. I respect that. But depending on how big your mistake is, the result and/or damage can be permanent.

That's life. But either way it's still sad. (damn i really go off track lmao)

Okay, back to the point, the female character in the romance story doesn't have to be so quick to  forgive. I get it, when you forgive, you'd think everything would be fine again. But no, it doesn't work that way. Well if it does, for you, then, oop- Anyways, no it doesn't work like that.

It's not that simple. I really wish it kinda was though.

The impact of your mistake, equivalents to the impact of the result. Anyways, going back to the original reason of my rant: wattpad romance stories, the bad boy doesn't have to participate in illegal activity to make them bad lol. Most writers have their own techniques, but if you are an author, I advise you to get out of your comfort zone and try something completely new/different<3. Oh, and when smut overtakes the plot, that it's basically non existent, then in my opinion, it immediately turns me off.

It's okay to put smut, but there's supposed to be some type of plot.

There's supposed to be arguments, challenges, happiness, love, tears, sadness, anger, joy, fear, all of the above. Without a plot, it's basically dirty words smushed into a book. (AGAIN NO OFFENSE TO AUTHORS WHO WRITE SMUT) Honestly I accept that people will hate me and send me death threats because of my rant. It's okay, everyone has their own opinion. So feel free to say anything, but when it gets to a point where you're taking your valuable time, that's fucking childish and immature.

"You need to calm down, you're being too loud." -Taylor Swift.

Don't expect smut when the book doesn't have the mature warning on, because many comments I've seen before are like "no smut? awh." Just saying. Many people confuse lust and love. Lust is physical. Love is emotional.

Most smut books which are only smut are in romance and I have no fucking idea why.

Maybe it's because people confuse seggs with love. Most smut books I've read don't have scenes where the woman and the man just have a normal conversation without being "at each other's throats." Like every time they see each other: seggs. That's meaningless and lifeless, so I still have no fucking clue why most smut books are in romance.

And before you say "oh, but you said you hate smut books that are all about seggs so why bother reading some." I bother reading some because I don't want to be a bitch and judge a book by its description/title/cover. Anyways, that's all for my rant today, I'd rather make an audio book because my thought come out way faster, but if you liked seeing my opinions, then I update every week.

Have a good day/afternoon/evening/night<3.
