Chapter 9
The one where Aizawa and Kokoro play games.

My chest went heavy when realizing Aizawa wasn't at my side when I woke up. He entered the room, two plates in hand,

"Morning." he placed both plates on his small work desk.

"Morning." I greeted back.

"Hikari made breakfast."

I dangle my legs off the side of the bed, holding my head slightly. Aizawa crouched in front of me, placing his elbows on my knees, "How'd you sleep? Are you feeling better?"

"You know you don't have to constantly worry about my well being." I laughed. He laid his head on his arms,

"Yeah, I know..." his eyes drift before darting down to my ankle. He gently grabs it and I pull back,

"Hey, hey! What are you doing-?" Forcing it back just made it hurt worse. It was a slight purple shade, but it's just a sprain. It can be healed in a few days.

"When did this happen?"

I rock my foot, "Yesterday." I look to his worried expression, "It doesn't hurt too bad, I can still walk on it."

Aizawa grabs my thighs and pulls me to him, the sudden action had me too flustered to say anything. He then scoops his arms underneath and lifts me off the bed with ease.

"This is unnecessary."

"I know."

He places me at his desk and motions to my plate, "Sorry if you don't like scrambled eggs and bacon."

I shook my head, "No, no, this is fine. Thank you, Shota." He ruffles my tangled hair and grabs his computer,

"I'm going to do some work, if you need anything, just ask."

Aizawa took my plate away when I was finished, and I was back to being alone in the room. I forgot how nice it was to have someone's company constantly, even if we don't talk, it's nice to have him nearby. To know that he's here.

He returns with a small smile.
"What's got you so happy?" I teased. Aizawa shook his head,

"Those kids are something else, they're down there playing twister." He stifled a laugh, "Uraraka accidentally put all fingers on the mat and now they're playing on a levitating twister game."

I laughed at the thought, "Who's all playing?"

"Her, Deku, and Mina. Hikari is spinning."

"Why don't we play twister?"

Aizawa's eyes shot to me, "What do you mean?"

"Go down there and join them."
He seemed to relax a bit at that answer before replying, "You can't play twister in your state, Kokoro."

I sighed, due to him being right, "How about a board game then?"

"I don't have any."

I threw my head back with a groan, "You're so boring."

He chuckled, "I'm sure I can find some in the commons, though."

He returned with Sorry, Candy land, and Go Fish. I grabbed Candy Land with a grin,

"We are so playing this. I call dibs on yellow."

We sat on the floor, I crisscrossed and Aizawa laying on his side propping himself up on his elbow. Think of the 'paint me like one of your french girls' pose. Aizawa was quiet and just pulling his way through drawing cards. But we eventually warmed up.

"I gotta say, that peppermint guy looking kinda thicc." I commented, placing a finger onto his ass, "Like, look at that, who said he could have so much junk in the trunk."

Aizawa looked up, "You're ridiculous."

I laughed, "You love me."

He then looked away, a slight red tint rising in his cheeks as he rubbed the back of his head, "... Yeah." His eyes snapped back to the board, "How did you get there?!"

I laughed loudly, pointing to the game, "I took the bridge."

"You can do that?"

"Yeah, why do you think it's there?" I grinned. He drew a card, only getting two blues. I drew my card, getting Lolly, "HA!"

Aizawa took the card, "What?!"

I fell back in laughter, "Try and catch me now!" I rocked back to how I was sitting, giving a goofy smile. He gave an amused smile back,

"Don't get cocky, there's still a whole deck-" He spoke as he picked a card, the next one being Princess Frostine.

"WHAT!?"

It was Aizawa's turn to laugh in victory as he moved his character passed mine to the spot. I pouted.

"That's wack."

"You love me." He teased back from my previous teasing.

"Do I?" I joked. Drawing a card and moving my character. Aizawa looked to me, with the expression of an expecting answer. I looked to him, locking eyes for a while, "Yeah, I do."

Aizawa won. I fell onto my back,

"I don't wanna play anymore, you're wack." I sulked. Aizawa chuckled, moving the game to the side before crawling over to where I laid and plopping down beside me, still leaning on his arm for support.

"What can I say? Maybe I'm just better." He teased, leaving over slightly. I palmed his face, pushing him away,

"Now look who's getting cocky."

He quickly moved his face, moving his head underneath my arm so my wrist rested on the back of his neck, he was now leaned over me slightly.
"Just a little." He smiled. His hair fell in his face and he blew it up, trying to get out of the way. I laughed before entangling both hands in his hair as I smoothed it back away from his face. Now seeing his features, from his jawline to his eyes so up close, I could feel my stomach increasingly become more bubbly. He moved down closer as silence filled the room. His eyes moved down to my lips for a moment before back up to my eyes. My chest tightened as he lowered himself even closer.

What would Acura think if you kissed him?

I pulled his hair slightly in an attempt to stop him moving. I looked away, feeling my face going ablaze, "I- um..." I looked back to him, "I have Magic: The Gathering cards at home, wanna play that?"

He was silent for a moment, his eyes scanning my features for some answer.

"Yeah, sure."

I searched up how old Candy Land's Mr. Mint was so Kokoro doesn't catch a case (I almost gave her a case a couple of chapters ago with Toga)
