DONGHEE POV

donghyuck dragged me and ningning to his car as the crowd watched and dispersed. he dropped ningning home and we headed to ours. on the way, his phone began ringing. "oh shit, here we go."

"hello?"

...

"ah, okay. sure, thanks."

"who's that?"

"my manager."

"oh no, what happened?"

"the ceo wants to meet us tomorrow afternoon."

"as in..."

"yes, both of us."

"shit."

- time skip -

it was about 9am, and i wore a blazer over a white shirt. donghyuck was donned in a normal suit and we headed off to his company headquaters. we reached around noon, which gave us an hour to prepare to meet lee sooman. 

"hello, please take a seat," mr lee boomed as we entered his office. i could feel that donghyuck was nervous but managed to force a friendly smile. i did the same. 

"i'm quite sure you both know what this is about. i called you here today to clarify. firstly, you two are really twins, i know. then, is it true that that jeewon girl harassed you?"

"yes, we have released proof."

"okay. donghyuck, i hope you know that you are not supposed to take any action without permission."

"so i should have just watched my sister keep suffering?"

"no, of course not. it was the right thing to do, but it does violate the company rules. and the fact that you cursed on social media and physically assaulted someone on camera."

"i truly apologise for that, mr lee. i was very angry at the moment. i will take the punishment."

"you had the right to be angry but you've ruined your image. i will still help you explain it to the public but i want you to come back from your break a month earlier."

"yes, mr lee."

"i don't blame you at all, but i have to stick with the rules. i hope you understand. as for ms lee, i am so sorry the harassment happened to you..." and a bunch of other sob stories.

after that, donghyuck and i had lunch at the barbecue restaurant near the company, where there were lesser people. "you're gonna go back a month earlier?"

"i have to. i'm sorry."

"it's fine. i just hope both of us won't get harassed again. also, your ceo talks a lot."

"that's him... nothing we can do," he shrugged while chuckling, putting a piece of chicken onto the hotplate. "so the company sent you protection services. are you gonna accept?"

"nah. once i feel better, i'll be able to whack those stalkers. the company should hire me as a bodyguard."

"should they? so that you can be irene's bodyguard?"

"yeah."

"dream on. you should go get a boyfriend. or a girlfriend."

"why?"

"i have this job and i can't date even if i wanted to. you're free so go find one."

"but i'm not ready."

"fine. when you do date, you'd better spill me the tea."

"hm, okay. i'm worried about ningning, though. what will happen to jeewon?"

"i don't know. she's probably still trying to kill you."

"hope not."

"hopefully ningning's sticking close to the others."

as soon as we returned home, the four other girls were there. they were squirming with excitement, which made me question. "geez, donghee. you missed out so much today!"
