I climbed out of the car and shut the door, bringing along the box that held a variety of chocolates and a romance novel series of five books.

It was a custom-made box of course. A pink and blue box shaped like a hexagon. If she opened the box, the sides covered in a variety of chocolates would fall down and the books would be in the middle and rose petals covered every other place along with a handwritten note in it.

I was quite fascinated when the lady at the gift shop showed me how it worked.

All day, I couldn't keep the smile off my face.

I threw the keys into the air and caught as I made my way towards the door. I hummed a tune to myself, one that I didn't remember and I didn't care to.

My plaid grey and black overcoat covered my shirt and navy blue pants as I walked towards the house, the sound of my shoes hitting the ground.

The cool breeze swept my coat back and forth while my hair fell over my shoulder.

I couldn't wait to see her. I had to stay behind at the university for a few meetings and I hoped Gianni had gotten home earlier than I did so that he kept her company.

I froze in place at the sight of a familiar hot pink convertible.

What. the. fuck?

My smile dropped and I clenched my jaw, walking towards it.

My heart was racing but not in the way it did when Wura smiled at me.

No, this time, it was in fury. My eyes twitched in anger. I tightened my fist around my car keys.

Walking to the door, I slammed my fist through the window, breaking it as Miranda screamed from the driver's seat. She rushed out of the car and squealed.

Blue eyes screaming in excitement.

"Antonino!" Her voice made me even angrier. The sound of glee in her voice irritated me to the bone and I couldn't help but be reminded about the things she had done.

"What the fuck are you doing here?" I growled, only seconds away from throttling her.

Her eyes were wide and her lips parted to speak just as Gianni's Jeep swerved in right next to the pink convertible like he was in a rush. He climbed out of the car with a gun dangling from his right hand, eyes red with fury. There was a murderous glint in his eyes -one that I was proud to see- and three of us knew that if she wasn't careful, we'd have a dead body to drop off tonight.

"Gia-" he held the gun up, pointing it at her before he clicked off the safety. His jaw flexing as he gritted his teeth.

I assumed Vince had informed him of her presence.

She screamed, flicking her blonde hair out of her face. It was almost comical. The way she held her shaking hands up and her eyes widened.

"Five fucking seconds until I put a bullet in your head" he growled like a dangerous animal. I felt a surge of pride fill me because a few years ago, Gianni would be kissing the floor she walked on.
