Jiraiya looked wearily at the three kids following him as they were making their way towards the Hokage's office.
They were definitely not ordinary kids. All of them seemed more top level than regular Chuunin if they were able to defeat a group of Jounin that also outnumber them.
There was one that closely resembled Minato with his hair and eye color. Not only that, he also has the ability to perform a nearly flawless Rasengan.
Then there were his two team mates. At least, he assumed they were team mates by the way they interacted.
The girl, who he is going to guess is an Uchiha because, really, the hair, the eyes, the symbol and the Sharingan. Heck, even the way she acts basically screams Uchiha. Then, there's also the case with her unhuman-like strength.
He saw how she punched the blond to that wall and man, he was impressed. It kinda reminded him of someone he knows. . . and loves.
Lastly, there was the kid that, from his look, smile, way of speaking, and the way he holds himself, just reminds him of that bastard, Orochimaru. Nobody has found him still and this kid was basically a carbon copy, he couldn't be. . .
Jiraiya shook his head. No, that was just insane.
While he was having all these thoughts, it seems like the brats were talking to each other about something or another. Probably planning how to answer.
Well, they soon reached the door to the Hokage's office and, like usual, he just burst in. The people guarding the place knew him too well and were likely too afraid to try and stop him.
He spared the kids a side long glance and from what it seems, the blond and the girl were showing curiosity as to what's beyond the door but the former looked like he already knew his way around and the blue kid was just wearing his usual smile while looking amused at his two team mates.
And so, the door was opened and in they went. "Oh, Jiraiya-sensei, what brings you here?"
Boruto stared incredulously at the man sitting on the desk. He had the same blond hair and blue eyes as his. Although, to everyone he ever met, they'd say he looked like a copy of his dad and he already got used to it, if not a little annoyed. Then, he also saw pictures of his grandpa and grandma from his dad's office but seeing him face to face is just. . . wow.
Him, his dad and his grandpa really shared the same distinct traits. Guess it was an Uzumaki-- er, Namikaze thing.
All throughout this reverie, Jiraiya had managed to tell the Fourth of the situation. The three of them introduced themselves once more. Boruto observed that the Fourth Hokage had, what Himiwari would term as his "Hokage Face" which was the same exact face they would see from their father when making decisions or assessing the situation.
"Now, may I ask where you three came from?" Minato Namikaze asked.
Team 7 looked at each other, asking whether they should tell them the truth or not. It seemed like they unanimously agreed to tell but didn't know how.
"But you wouldn't believe us even if we told you, dattebasa."
Minato was a bit taken a back by the way the boy spoke, or more specifically his verbal tick. He shook the thought from his head. It must just be a coincidence, he thought but he remembered what was always told to him before.
There are no coincidences in our line of work.
"And how can you be so sure?" he smiled. "I've seen my fair share of absurdities so I'm sure it wouldn't be that unbelievable."
