So in this soulmate au the reader and hawks are in different dimensions. When one of them sings a song, that song gets stuck in the other persons head. Every now and then they would get images (certain aspects like colour of eyes or colour of hair and what not) in their head. And when they dream they always interact in the dreams. But only by voice, they dont see each other they just hear each other. They can't know each others names, unless they guess the name right, to which the other can say yes or no to to clarify. When both clarify their names, it's like asking for permission to see one another. If both say yes, they end up seeing eachother.

Third P.O.V

Nine years has passed since Y/n found out she had no soul mate when she was thirteen. She had become an outcast to society, she felt as if society had shunned her to the edge of the world, ignoring her very exsistance. She was constantly bullied just because 'she was going to be alone forever', but luckily to her she had made a friend who in the end always stood by her side and always stood up for her. She too had no soul mate.  Y/n was really grateful for having a friend like her. Once they graduated they had become really glued to their jobs. Y/n worked from home, not wanting to face too many people. Her friend Akasha had moved into a apartment along with Y/n and almost barely spent time together, but when they did... they watched anime.

Since Y/n was 21, she had been feeling things that she just could not understand. Every now and then she would get songs stuck into her head, and it would be on a constant loop. When she had fallen asleep she had always had conversations with a someone who sounded like a male. He had constantly spoken about how he's hero work was tough at times but most of the times he could handle it. Y/n of course thought nothing of it so she just shoved it aside. Every now and then she would see flashes of red feathers and golden coloured eyes (sorry I assume they're golden) It wasn't till she reached season four of my hero academia with her friend (too which they finished 5 boxes of tissues to) that she heard an all too familiar voice.

"Number 2! He does things-" Akasha starts squealing and says "He's finally here! He's finally here!" Y/n get confused but listens further "-how he reached the charts at lightning speed. The hero hawks!"

"I'm not sure about all that..." Y/n freezes up... that red... that voice... wait a second... she eagerly carry's on watching to hear his voice again. "Finally... He's been the temporary number one, but! Today he'll officially inherit that sacred spot! After all this time, the flame hero: Endeavour!"

"We chose to make the charts-" Y/n still has a confused expression on her face, Akasha notices "Hey... what's wrong?" Y/n still stares in a confused manner at the screen, not hearing Akasha talk to her, so what did Akasha do? She bumped Y/n to get her attention. Once Y/n's attention was on Akasha, Akasha once again asked "Is everything okay? Is something wrong?" Y/n shakes her head trying to clear her mind "Y-yeah... just..." she looks into Akasha's eyes debating whether or not to tell Akasha, after thinking she decides not to cause she'll probably sound crazy "...it's nothing..." Akasha does not believe Y/n so she pauses the episode. "No...no NO! Don't hide something from meeeeeee. You know you can trust me..." Akasha pouts, knowing full well Y/n was weak against her secret weapon.

"Your going to think I'm nuts..." Akasha shakes her head and crosses her heart like they always did, knowing they were serious about that particular moment. Y/n sighs, closes her eyes and opens them, landing eye contact with her best friend Akasha "Fine... Well... ever since last year, I have been having these... how can I describe it... uhhhh... feeling of connection? Uhhhh I dont know... but I get these random flashes of red feathers and golden eyes, I'm always speaking to someone while I sleep and he is always talking about hero work-" Akasha interrupts squeaking looking back and forth between the television and Y/n. "Wait...wait WAIT! So your telling me you have a soul mate... and he talks about hero wor- bro- what does his voice sound like????"
