chapter 22

"E-executed...?"

Ozrock slowly nodded at the first year goalkeeper's question, and Okita's raging face was suddenly filled with horror

"Y-you're kidding me... Right, brother...?"

Okita's voice was shaking in fear, but, as much as it also pained Ozrock in the heart, he knew that it was for the best. Everyone, even himself, had already lost complete trust and faith in Okita, and no one was about to save his back

"P-please, Ozrock... I'm still your younger brother... Y-you can't do this, plea-"

In the end, Ozrock had to knock his sibling out, with a few tears rolling down his face

"Ozrock..." The aliens and Raimon members turned heads towards the voice owner, only to find the brunet who was still being carried by his coach. Despite gaining his consciousness back, the coach didn't put him down. The brunet's eyes were barely opened, evident to the fact that he still hasn't regained his strength, so the coach didn't dare to put him down, in fear that he would collapse "Are you sure about that...?"

"Don't tell me you're gonna defend him now... Even I lost my faith in him..."

"I don't plan on defending him, not after everything he has done... But I'm just saying, because I don't want you to regret your decision... After all, you guys have been through several hardships together..."

As much as Ozrock was determined that his decision was correct, he couldn't help but feel his heart tightening up.

Tenma's right, he and his brother have been through some gruesome hardships ever since their planet got destroyed. They were the only ones who were there for eachother before reuniting with the remaining survivors. He also feels that he's also at fault for his brother's hatred. He left him when they were at a crucial step to finish their vengeance, they bowed to eachother to either finish their revenge or die in a blazer glory, but in the end, Ozrock was the one who failed his own words.

A couple more tears rolled down from his eyes, before standing up with his brother cradled in his arms

"Wether he gets executed or not, he can't live on. Death will be more like an escape for his miserable hatred and current life, and because of that, he can't live on no matter what."

Tenma understands what the alien meant by those words, and it certainly is true. As long as he's alive, he won't be able to let go of his hatred and resentment, even though he has to, so death would be more like a gateway to freedom, rather than a punishment

"It's time for us to go, goodbye everyone."

"Goodbye."

The aliens all went back to their own planet through the beam of light, and the earthlings had a weird feeling for Okita, but most of themselves were pretty happy after hearing that he's gonna die no matter what.

They took Tenma to the clubroom and Endou gently placed him down on a chair, and Kidou went ahead to check if he had anymore injuries around the body, and fortunately, he didn't

"How are you feeling, Tenma?"

"Exhausted... Light headed... Can't even think properly..."

The Raimon members were pretty worried and Kidou proceeded to ask

"Do you think he might've done something?"

"No... I just used up all of my energy to defend myself, that's all..."

After hearing that, everyone felt a wave of relief crashing over them, but, their concern still didn't completely leave yet

"I just need to rest a little..."

With that being said, the brunet threw his head back a little, while closing his eyes to try and regain some of his wasted off energy.

The next day carried on as if nothing has ever happened, the brunet already reinforced his friends to never mention any of the events again, not even among themselves, and the teammates gladly agreed to that, since they weren't about to mention anything related to the past events anyway.

Everything went back to normal, just like how it should've been from the very beginning.

But, despite all of that, the four teammates that were and still are in love with Tenma, have not given up on making the brunet theirs. But, what they also don't know, is that the brunet himself is already aware of everything, even their love interest in him

I think I'm done with this story, sorry to those who wanted Tenma to end up with someone, but, as I continued to write this story, I just decided to not do it on this one.

But I will probably do that in 'His story - Inazuma eleven Go'.
