"Jesus, Katsuki. I already told you over and over again. It was just a business meeting!" You sighed in defeat.

"Stop lying to me, Y/N! There's something going on between you and fucker. To begin with, that asshole has eyes for you, Y/N. Listen to me and stay away from him!"

Dating a rising hero was never easy. Katsuki would always be away on missions all day and coming back late a night and you'd be all alone in your shared apartment. You never minded it, though. Afterall, Katsuki was the light to your darkest days. Katsuki was the one who brought you up when you were at your lowest. And you appreciated it a lot. However as time went by, Katsuki was home less often. Heck, he sometimes doesn't even come back home and it made you feel neglected.

So to take your mind off of things, you slowly became a workaholic. You lacked sleep and rest but that's all you could do. Your 'other half' was almost never around anymore. That was until you met this guy at work. Daisuke Koji. He was appointed as your partner for a work project. Even though he was just a work partner, you spent more time with him than you did with Katsuki for the past few months and you were really thankful that someone was there for you when Katsuki wasn't.

Ironically, ever since you've spent more time with Koji, Katsuki has been home almost everyday. Most of the times in a bad mood because you were always out on a business meeting with Koji 'till the wee hours of a day. Sure, Koji tends to be really close and touchy with you but you've always considered it as a friendly gesture. Katsuki noticed this certain behaviour of Koji and would always get upset and vexed. Every argument of yours and his would always be about Koji.

"Piss off, Katsuki." You retorted in a frustrated tone as you threw your beige tote bag across the room.

"Excuse me?" Katsuki said in disbelief. "I'm the one who's actually earning for the both of us! Could you be a little understanding, jeez. I've been away and earning money for us and you're going out with some dude from work. Real nice going, L/N."

He never calls me by my last name.

"Hey, I actually have my own job you know? I'm out earning for us too. So why can't you learn to accept that?" You fought back, holding back the urge to let your tears break free of their dam. "At least Koji was around when I needed someone."

"Wow. Never knew I'd hear that from you one day." Katsuki scoffed as he grabbed his coat, slammed the door shut and left in the pouring rain.

You watched through the window as his figure slowly faded into the darkness. Finally, your knees gave in and you collapsed onto the wooden floor, letting out the quiet sobs you have been holding in as you clutched onto the fabric of your shirt.

Should I have said that? What if I actually hurt his feelings?

Your shaky hands slowly went to your pocket and you pulled out your phone. You didn't call Katsuki.

You called Koji instead.

Within minutes, Koji showed up at your front door and you opened it and without any hesitation, you hugged him as he entered your home. You began bawling as you explained to Koji what had happened and that Katsuki left you home... alone. Never once did you look up to look at Koji's face. You only had your face in his chest as you cried. Soon after your cries died down, you realised something.
