POW!
I heard a gun sound as I turned a sharp corner running through a dark alley. I slipped trying not to step on a cat as I rounded the corner reaching the main road again. I faintly heard tires screeching from the direction I had come from. I kept on running through the park, around the pond, and on to a different street. I was out of breath and had finally stopped running. There was no one else on the street and I was only two blocks from home. I stepped onto the sidewalk and started down the road, taking deep breaths to try and stop my chest from heaving so much. I was so thirsty, I started to walk faster so I could hurry and get home. A car passed by slowly and I lifted my hood and pulled it over my head, shoving my hands in my pockets. I saw one of my boys, Josh.
"Yo, you better be getting home quick. It's late and you know the block hot." He yelled at me from across the street.
"I know. I'm on my way now." I yelled back passing by.
" Well hurry up, I'll watch you get down there." He yelled back stepping to the edge of the street.
I didn't say anything I just sped up knowing my boy Jo had my back. I stepped in the street to cross over to my block when car lights flashed brightly in my face. I turned around running back towards Jo when I heard guns let off. I got hit twice in my right arm and once in my leg. I limped behind a car and reached for my gun realizing I didn't even have it at the moment. I looked over at Jo and signaled that I didn't have my gun so he had to cover for me. Jo started ducking behind cars making his way over to me. I ducked and started moving too, trying to make it easier when a bullet pierced my shoulder. I double over in pain and turned over on my back. Somebody in all black creeped up from around the burgundy Grand Marquis I was behind and aimed their gun. I heard A noise and looked up to see Jo running towards me reloading his gun. I looked back to the masked perp and they pulled the trigger.
