Today's my first day of college. I have to be brave for two reasons today. First, I don't know anyone there, and second, I'm afraid that I might be wasting my time studying there only to fail my dreams.

I looked around once more in my apartment to see if I forgot anything. Once I'm ready to go, I went out and locked the door.

But one thing caught my attention.

There's a yellow sticky note pasted on it.

Dear Whoever-The-Hell-You-Are,

Your masterpiece of a song woke me up last night, and it's not funny. I hope you'll be more considerate of your neighbors next time.

I'm-Fucking-Pissed,
Your neighbor on the left

Grimacing at myself, I grabbed my bag and searched for a sticky notepad and a pen. I'm not the type to argue over petty things. My dad didn't teach me to live that way.

Hello, Stranger

I'm truly sorry for the disturbances I caused last night. I'll make sure to be more considerate of others around me.

P.S.

Please be polite when you're talking to someone you do not know.

Sincerely,
Your neighbor on the right

After finishing up, I gently placed the piece of paper on his door and noticed three cats guarding it. As badly as I want to pet them, I have to go and be on time when class starts. I don't want my professors labeling me an unruly student at the start of the semester for being absent the first day and late on the second. Dad would be disappointed, and that's the least that I want.

Just like what I've practiced and planned, my route was the same bus stop yesterday and another one a few streets away from it. When I reached the same waiting area yesterday, I frowned upon seeing a similar face as well. He has his huge headphones covering his ears, again. His head timidly bopping to the music only he hears and his eyes closed.

While I take my seat far from him, I studied his face. He has nice jaws—a perfect side profile. I bet girls in his school are swooning over him. He must be a popular student with a popular group of friends too. The same guitar case is still hanging behind his back. To my surprise, he suddenly opened his eyes. What I did is look down and pretend that I'm sleeping. I don't want to seem like a creep for staring at him.
