The ride to Jammie's house from mine was, mostly, uneventful. Just a few more sentences about makeups and clothes and whatnot.  It was only a fifteen minute drive from my place to hers anyway, so after that it was a couple songs and BAM! we were there. It felt like no time at all had passed.

So here we are at Jammie's.

"What's the first thing you want to do, Spade?" asked Jammie.

"Well, as always, I want a bath in the fat people tub."

"Why are you so weird? It's called a garden tub."

"Okey, soooo," I drawled out, "again I say fat people tub here I come." I was positively in love with Jammie's 'fat people tub' as that's what I've always called garden tubs. Yes as Jammie already stated I'm a weirdo, I also say chunky dunk instead of skinny dip. But my weirdness is one reason Jammie loves me so much.

With that being said, I took my big behind to her bathroom. I loved to soak in her tub, and she usually came back to her bedroom and sat on the bed to talk to me while I chilled in the tub, with the door open of course so the conversation, however serious or silly we decided to be, could flow easily.

"Since the last time we hung out, are you dating anyone new?" I asked Jammie.

"No, Spade, I'm not really, I was talking to someone but you already know how that went. God, I don't see why I keep giving him chance after chance. He always does the same shit." I wasn't one hundred percent sure, being as I couldn't see her, but I think Jammie just facepalmed herself because I heard the sound of skin hitting skin and that seems the appropriate action to accompany those words. I didn't know why she put up put with dude either, and decided to just be open and honest with her, as I always am, and deal with the outcome of the conversation. I hoped she wouldn't be mad at me but I am entitled to my own opinion. Maybe she would even listen to what I had to say and make new choices.

"You are so much better than that. You really shouldn't put up with the way he treats you. Don't you realize that you are so pretty any guy should be terrified of losing you? Besides haven't you ever heard the saying 'if you do what you always done, you'll get what you always got?"

"Yeah, maybe, but Spade you can't help who you love. And no, actually. I've never heard that before." Jammie says.

"Do you actually love him or are you just tired of being alone? I couldn't see myself putting up with what he puts you through, and I'm nowhere near as pretty as you. And really all it means is you're going to keep ending up with the same results unless you change something. Honestly in this particular situation I think you should change the man, as in get a new one or at the very least set that one free. He's proved time and again he's not going to treat you better. Hell if you are just sick of being alone I'll date you as long as you kick him out. That was a joke by the way. Just my way of saying litteraly ANYONE" I stressed the word anyone "would he better for you than he is."

"Oh shut up, you know you are every bit as pretty as me. And please take a damn breath you cray cray, I don't even know if I'll process all that." I could just imagine she was laying across the foot of the bed on her stomach with her legs up and crossed at the ankels, rolling her eyes at me. I laughed.

"Okay, well we could argue about this all night but I'm about to get outta this tub. I am starting to turn all wrinkly."

"Okay let me know when you're done getting dressed and we can just hang out in here," replied Jammie.

When Jammie walked out I started to drain the water. I stood up and wrapped the towel around me as I patted myself dry. While doing so I glimpsed something in the mirror. Not knowing what it was I kept going about my business but I kept a vigilant eye on my surroundings and especially the mirror. Something was going on. I didn't know what but with the help of my best friend I would figure it out.

"Jammie!!!," I yelled, "I'm out and dressed and I need to ask you about something,"

"What's up?" she asked as she strode back in her bedroom, a couple cold Dr. peppers in her hands, holding one out towards me, silently offering me the refreshing drink, or as I thought of Dr pepper, the nectar of the gods.

"Have you noticed anything weird in the mirrors?"

"Kinda weird ass question, but no. I have no idea what you mean."

"Well while I was getting dressed I swear I saw someone out of the corner of my eye watching me, but every time I looked directly I was alone. Look did you see it?" I nearly shouted, startled, and pointed at the long wall length mirror she had over her sink up to about a foot from touching the ceiling. I used to love that mirror. I was not loving It right now. It had happened again. We both turned our heads and looked at the same time. And we both saw the same thing.

There was a pale skinned, dark haired, glowing eyed guy staring at us!!!! His eyes looked red at first glance but the longer I was able to study his face the more I noticed they were changing. Almost like he was trying to dial down the scary.

I scrunched my face up and couldn't decide if I wanted to turn and see if Jammie were seeing this or if I wanted to give into my scardy cat tendancies and scream, or run, or possibly both, out of the room.
