Chapter 1

Hi guys welcome to the first chapter of my book. Hope you enjoy it!!!

"You've got that James Dean, daydream look in your eye, and I got that red lip classic thing that you like, and when we go crashing down you come back everytime cause you never get out of style, you never get out of style."
Ughhhhh just this is what I needed before and now I'm embarrassed to talk with him.
After I left Connor in the club five days ago, I've been thinking about it ever since. He is a very intelligent and handsome man. Although a bit straight forward but he does seem like a man I would like to be with ever since him.

"So it goes, he can't keep his wild eyes on the road. Takes me home.  The lights are off, he's taking off his coat."

Behind me Emily and all the others are dancing to the song Style by Tay... whoever that is, in my apartment. They have all come here since it's a weekend for a sleepover.
I initiated it because I've not invited many people in my apartment so might as well start making attempts on making friends and inviting them over at my house for friendly gossip as I used to do back home.

"Divya, come on we are supposed to dance to this song and be lost in style."
Maddie said but I just shrugged it off saying I'm tired and I go up to the table and started collecting all the empty plates and cutleries that they had kept there after eating pasta and went in the kitchen to wash them.

Just then the doorbell rang and I looked over at the clock sitting on the wall and noticed it was eight thirty pm. Who could it be at this time of the night?
What if the music is too loud. No wait I couldn't even hear it in the kitchen properly.

But when I opened the door I hadn't expected it to be Connor.

For a few minutes I just stared at him eyes wide open. But when he cleared his throat I came back from my daydream and motioned for him to stand in the hallway for privacy.
God this is awkward...

With my hands as a shield in front of my chest, I squeaked out a "Hey... "
He ran his hand in his hair and asked
"Hey ummm uhh are you free right now?... "

"Umm my friends are in my apartment now so I am not.."
"I just need a minute." He cut me off midsentence.

I nodded for him to continue.

He wiped his hand on his black t-shirt.
"Well I wanted to ask if uhhh you have a ummmm extra ramen noodles now because ummm I don't have... "
I raised my eyebrows internally. He was never so nervous with me before...
Not after you walked out on him after a mind blowing kiss.

Then realisation hit me. He probably thought I am not interested in him.
Oh God. Why did I have to be such a fool.

Nevertheless I cut him off with a small smile. "Of course I have. Wait just a minute."
Then I walked back in the house and brought the half filled packet of Ramen noodles. I hope it is enough for him.

I passed my friends in the living room who were too wasted to care what is going on in their surrounding. Maybe it's better this way. Atleast I don't have to answer their questions.

I walked out in the hallway and handed him his noodles. He took it from my hands but lingered a bit longer on my skin.
"It's actually only half of the noodles left in the packet. I hope it's sufficient for you. "
"Yes yes that's alright. It's just me and my father tonight. I could have taken it from my neighbors but they didn't have any left so I had to come here. Sorry to disturb your uhm party."

I gave him a small smile and reassured him it's alright.
He turned around and was going to take the stairs when he suddenly turned around and looked at me before shaking his head as if contemplating with himself whether or not to ask me a question. But as he was about to open his mouth I spoke up.
"About last Sunday, umm I wanted to talk with you so can you please meet me at the 'Cafeine street' shop tomorrow at four pm? "
He was dumbstruck but quickly recovered himself and replied with a quick yes. After that he was out of my sight as if he is scared to be in my presence.
