I deeply despised those horse smacking vultures. I secretly hoped they would hurry up and choke on their strawberry flavored piece of gum. Good riddance!

Molly Greene was the leader of the Chewers. Lisa blushed in passing, and here I was left alone with Molly and her Chewers.

From my knowledge, the Chewers were nothing special; they shouldn't even belong in the bathroom. They stick their gum where it doesn't belong: under the toilet lids, on the wall and worse place on me. They bullied me, but at least they always had something useful to say.

Molly smacking her Bubblicious gum smiled, "Hey, which one is that one?"

Ronnie, best friend to Molly, shrugged. She popped a fresh piece of Orbit in her mouth. "I stay away from the loudmouth one, she's a bitch. But, I think the shy one is cool. I spoke to her once and she's cute. I think her name was Lisa."

"So aren't you saying they're both cute?" Molly teased.

"No, Lisa is cute. She's cute because she doesn't sprout bitchy comments at me for just saying hello. That other twin is evil. I wouldn't be surprised if she took a knife to Dylan's back."

"Hey! Don't talk about that shit in school. You don't want word getting around, do you? You know what happened to Jerk-Off Johnson for talking about her, right?"

Ronnie shook her head pulling out a cigarette and a light. She sat on top of a sink near the open window. "Yeah, yeah. He came to school with his face covered in bruises. But, to be fair, he did claim that Dylan's brother murdered her. In my book, he deserved that ass whipping Joshua gave him."

Joshua... Joshua... Joshua.

I had never met him before, since I live in a nunnery. The first time someone mentioned his name to me, it was during a funny joke. Grace was the type of girl, who did not say much. When she did speak, it was surprising and unexpected. On the topic of Joshua, she said he had a hot body with a duck face. I did not understand what that meant. It seemed funny to the girls though.

Apparently, Joshua was more than a duck face with a hot body. He was Dylan's brother. Surprisingly, Joshua had been the topic of many arguments in the bathroom. His name was written on the back of the stall with a red permanent marker then scratched and rewritten again, along with many others. I suppose writing someone's name on a surface advances your chances to fuck or marry them. No recent drama about him, well other than his sister's death.

"No one knows it was him," Molly came over to me, checking her lipstick. Her mascara was running a little, I wonder what she was crying over.

"It was him. Say what you want but everyone knows Joshua was protective of his little princess, Dylan. No matter what she did, that boy always protected her. I'm surprised he came to school last week."

"I'm surprised school was open. You would think a death in the school would mean a day off." Diane said pushing the stall door open.

I had forgotten she was in there. Diane is what I call an early bird; she always the first in to do her business and the last out near the second bell which was about to ring in a moment.

Ronnie scoffed at the comment. "How do you know it happened at the school? No ones else knows that."

I liked Diane because she said what most were thinking. I was thinking it; I would love to have a day without the Chewers covering my face with their spit. There aren't that many days off in a school day, this was a perfect opportunity to create one. We couldn't have been the only one thinking it.

Diane smirked at Molly in passing on the way to the sink. "No one else's dad is the Sheriff on the case."

She washed for twenty seconds, rinsed and pulled a paper towel from the dispenser. She faced me and pulled at a glob of Bubblicious gum wiping it clean relieving me of the wet, sticky ball of torture. I really liked Diane.

She handed it to Ronnie on her way out. "You should respect the communal space."

Just then the bell rang and second period had begun. That bell was always music to my ears.
