Pixane- Project 132: The Mechanical Fireworks *New Years Special*

Zane's POV

I ran through a huge crowd of people, going as fast as I could to get to Borg Tower. 

"Today is my only chance to show Mr. Borg! If he doesn't approve, then how am I going to break it to her?" I thought, "Maybe if I-"

My thoughts quickly stopped when I bumped into someone. 

"I'm SO sorry, are you okay?" I asked, quickly standing up and holding out my hand to help them.

It seemed I had run into a girl with long, black hair, pulled into a ponytail. She seemed about 15 or 16.

"NYA! Are you okay?!" a voice yelled. But something was different about how they sounded. Almost... automated.

Another girl came running behind her friend. She had pure blonde hair, also pulled back into a ponytail. Her skin was a metallic white with purple wire-like FUTURE EDIT all across her face. She ran up to her friend, whom I assume is Nya.

"Again, I give my sincerest apologies." I spoke to them.

"Ah, don't worry about it. My name's Nya, and this is my friend, PIXAL." 

"Nice to meet you! I'm sorry to cut this short but I must be leaving now. I've got a new idea for the New Year's party downtown this year! So, if you'll excuse me, I have to get to Borg Industries. Bye!" I left the girls (who seemed slightly confused) and towards my destination.

ten minutes later

"Mr. Borg!" I burst into his office.

"Huh? Oh hello, Zane. What can I help you with?" He asked.

"Mr. Borg, I have a new idea for the New Year's party."

"Oh? What is it?"

"What if, instead of our traditional fireworks, we use new ones?"

"Like?"

"Here's what I was thinking." I set a huge blueprint on his desk and began explaining my idea, "How about mechanical or robotic fireworks? We could set them up all over the city, and as soon as they shoot up into the sky, we can control them! We would have a screen to show/control where they are and when they would shoot up and explode. It'll give a new, completely electronic feeling. Completely controlled. What do you think?" 

"Um..."

"IT'S A TERRIBLE IDEA!" a voice yelled.

"Excuse me?" I spoke

Looking over, I saw the robotic girl I had met before. "I said it's a terrible idea! New Year's is about enthusiasm and excitement! It's supposed to be fun and original! Classic! Not electronic or high-tech!"

"Well maybe to you, but I think we can all agree that it can be modernized a bit!"

"Maybe, but not the fireworks! They're perfect the way they are!"

"Listen, you're a droid! You know how good it will feel to see other electronic beings doing their job! In fact, maybe you should get back to yours."

She stood in disbelief before saying, "Well so should you." and waking away.

I was in shock. She... knew?

PIXAL's POV

That idiot. Who does he think he is?! If he gets to tell me where my place is, then I have every right to tell him the same thing. I stood by the door way before waking back in. "I'll make you a deal," I spoke, "We'll let the city vote. A fun, classic version, or some limited, modern version. Winner gets to have their fireworks used. The loser has to do whatever the winner says for a week. Deal?"

I watched as he processed my offer. "You know what, deal!"

We shook hands and he left.

I turned to Mr. Borg. He looked at me with disbelief in his eyes, "Of all the stupid things to do..."

"Please father, you have to trust me on this! It'll be worth it, I promise!"

"Alright... but please don't spend every second-"

"And don't worry, I'll spend every second on it!" I interrupted him and ran out, dialing my friends' numbers.

Okay, so, I'm really sorry!! 

I wasn't able to get this out before 2021, BUT, I'm writing the next chapter of TEWH(next gen) and that should be out soon. Again, I'm SO SO SORRY!!
