Unexpected
Now, I am standing in front of the building which I live in. Victor left me one block before because he has some work to do at least that's what he said. He politely asked me is it okay if he go then, and I said 'yes.' Even though, I wanted him to stand here with me, but couldn't ask such a thing for him, he already did too much for me. I am very grateful for that.
I didn't want to delay more. I went inside the building, straight to the elevator, and call it. Elevator is fast and in about 30 seconds is here.
I used the time in the elevator to look at myself in the mirror and fix my hair and clothes. I had pretty much time to do that because I live on the tenth floor. My hair is now in the high ponytail, dirty and wet. My coat is clean and fixed.
The elevator stops and I walked out of it.
In and out, in and out... That's how I calm myself by inhalation. I have to act 100% normal like nothing happened.
I search for my keys in the bag, but I can't find them. Maybe I left them at home yesterday. I pulled the handle of the door and surprisingly the door opened. Huh, that was easy but why will my parents leave the door unlocked? It's not important now, the important thing is that I can come in, so did I. But when I walked in my mother and father stormed out of the kitchen and stood in front of me.
I froze.
"Where have you been last night, young lady?" Asked my father with a very stern voice. But I didn't answer anything because I was so scared. I never did something like this, I have never slept over at friends house. I have never broken theirs rules that they set for me years ago. I always was a good daughter.
"Oh, don't say anything." Sharply and loud said my mother and continue."We already know everything."
" What?" I said with a questionable look on my face. What is she talking about? Did they knew? Did someone saw Victor and me?
"You whore!" Yelled my mother and came closer to me and slaps me on the cheek.
I fall on my knees. Wow, she slapped me! I am surprised. They never took a hand on me, but now she did.
I placed the hand on my bruised cheek. It is wet... oh I am crying because it fucking hurts when mother slapped you for the first time in your life and plus you are seventeen almost eighteen years old.
It fucking hurts!
Then my father grabbed me by the coat collar and lifted me up. I am still holding my hand on the bruised cheek, and he is still holding my coat's collar.
I feel vulnerable in front of them for the first time in my life, they always protected me.
With one hand, my father took my chin and lifted my head up. Then I saw my mother standing furious behind my father.
"What were you doing with that boy?" He asked me very furious too.
How do they know that I was with Victor? He left me one block before, they couldn't see us from the window. How?
"I... how..." I can't make a sentence.
"Answer Lily!" Yelled my mother.
"How do you know I was with a boy?" I barely asked while I was sobbing in tears.
"That's not what is the matter now. Answer us." The father said.
"He is a friend of mine." I didn't know what to said and that just fell out of my mouth.
