Jennie POV

My mother glared at Lisa, disgust and hate in her eyes. "That's your majesty to you."

"You're not queen. Jennie is." Lisa smirked as she held my hand. "Welcome to 2020 where technology is gods send." Lisa whistled loudly and the doors opened to see a video camera pointed at my mother, but behind her a large screen showing everything my mother admitted to.

Kai's father was a beloved general, so beloved the country mourned his death for a month. My mother paled and I walked over to her to grab the crown.

I placed it on my head, "Bow to your queen." She glared as she did so, along with everyone else in the room. When I use to be your highness, now I'm your Majesty. Even Lisa and Marco bowed to me, making me smile at the gesture.

"You killed six innocent men and women. You killed an army general and a King. Take her away while I decide what to do." Immediately guards grabbed my mother, dragging her out of the room.

"Wait!" Lisa shouted but then she shocked all of us as she ran to my mother and slapped her so hard her head flew backwards. "That's for my Nini and trying to kill me."

"Don't!" I commanded a guard that looked like he was about to grab Lisa. He nodded and I smiled at her, glad she did what I admit I wasn't strong enough to do.

They took my mother out of the room and Marco cut the video. Lisa squealed as she brought me into a hug, immediately guards tried to run at her but I glared them away.

"There's one last thing I need to do." I went behind the desk, sitting down as I pulled out the book of laws. I grabbed the law that deemed homosexuality illegal and burned it, causing the courtiers and everyone to clap.

"Bring me the list of the names of the men and women my mother executed please." I asked a servant and soon I was handed the list. I saw that the current Rebel jailed was the father of one of the men my mother killed.

"Please take Mr Manoban and Lisa to the food hall. I need to do something." Lisa looked like she wanted to protest but I shook my head. She nodded and followed the staff with her dad who was high fiving her for the slap.

I giggled and looked to Kai. "Please bring me Mr Jeon." He nodded and I excused all the courtiers from the room. Soon the doors opened and Mr Jeon walked in with handcuffs around his ankles and hands.

"Your majesty," he said in a hoarse voice as though he hasn't had water. I gestured for him to sit down and handed him a glass of water.

"Release his hands." They did that and he looked up at me in shock. "Mr Jeon, I wanted to apologize for what my mother did. I never knew what happened to your son, Jungkook. Though I don't forgive the fact you tried assassinating me and killed many of my people, I do hope you understand I am nothing like my mother."

"I knew of the stories of your father," he chuckled as he drank some water. "Small country like this, word travels. My son... all he wanted to do was live his life with Tae. They weren't problematic, lived peacefully and were kind to everyone. I had to witness their murder and live in poverty as the crown took our home. I grew so hateful and felt as I truly had nothing to lose, so I did what I did. Please understand that we never wanted to aim for you, Your Majesty."

I nodded, writing down my statement. "I know you didn't kill anyone but had people do it. I wish to be a better Queen and ruler, so I'm pardoning this. This letter, you'll get your home back and more for the wrongful death of your son and his husband."

"But they never married?"

"To me they did." His eyes watered up and I handed him the note. "I may not be able to reverse time to give you your child back, but I promise I will make sure no one ever has to suffer for loving who they want to."

He suddenly stood up and dropped to the floor, "My gracious majesty. God bless you." He was excused and Kai came over to the desk.

Father.. please please forgive me for what I'm about to do.

"Kai I need to tell you something." He nodded, "Your family was added to the line of succession by my father, probably to make his lover happy. Well, this country deserves a ruler that will protect and defend it. I want to hand down my throne to you."

"B-But you're the healthy able heir."

"Who knows in her heart that the people of Gangnam will be happy with you as King. The past month has shown me there's more to live I was missing and I don't want to miss that part of it anymore."

"Does this have something to do with a gorgeous girl with bangs?" He grinned and I smiled at him. "If she's really the reason you're giving up the throne, she must be really special."

"She is and I don't want to miss that. I'd never be able to find that in a Prince. She once told me I'm priceless and that's true. I don't want to be a princess, I'm priceless and I found my other half."

"I promise they'll be under my care and you'll still have all the luxury as a royal princess. Practically a sister considering our dads were lovers."

I laughed at him, giving him a big hug before getting the papers ready to sign the crown to him. We discussed over things that I wanted to be done before I finished my very short term as Queen.

My dads ring made me feel as though he would want this for me, the happiness and peace being in Seoul with Lisa brings me. I love her, love her enough to govern my country from afar but not miss my chance of showing her how much I loved her.

I handed him the crown as news was directed throughout the palace and country. I placed my fathers crown on top of Kai's head, before bowing to him.

I smiled down at Lisa from the throne, her smile so wide that I knew within my heart I made the right choice.
