Shawn is pictured above!

"Hey Mitch!" Esther leaned against my locker as I put my books away.

"You excited for practice?" she asked as I shut my locker and grabbed my gym bag.

"Yeah. Shawn said he had a new move he was gonna teach me- I mean us" I I corrected myself.

"Mhmm" Esther rolled her eyes. Shawn was one of our coaches along with Michelle and let me tell you that man could move his body in more ways than one.

"If you're gonna do it make sure you be careful. We need you on our team Mitch" Esther warned as we reached the locker rooms. We slid down the wall to wait for every one to arrive so Shawn and Michelle could unlock the locker rooms.

"I don't think I'm gonna do it with him today but-" I was cut off my by phone going off.
Shawn- lockers are open forgot to lock them last night. Patiently waiting for you ;)

I smiled at the text as I got up gathering my stuff.

"They forgot to lock the rooms" I rolled my eyes as I helped Esther up.

"I swear if I hear you two getting it on I'm gonna rip my ears off" I walked away laughing.

I set my bag down by locker and looked around the room for Shawn.

"Shawn?" I squealed when I felt arms wrap around me.

"Jesus you scared me" I turned in his arms.

Shawn was only a few inches taller than me with sandy blonde hair and brown eyes.

"Did I? Here let me make it better" he kissed my lips gently making me giggle.

"You are not about to get me all hot and bothered before practice" I laughed as I wiggled out of his arms to get changed. I heard a hum of approval as I pulled my shirt off. Shawn was about to kiss me again when we heard the door open. He jumped about five feet back and looked at me with wild eyes.

"Hey Scott" I smiled at the blue eyes boy as he waved awkwardly while making his was to his locker only a few down from mine.

"Shawn this is Scott he used to be on Optical Illusions" I explained as I pulled my pants up.

"Optical Illusions huh?" Shawn eyed Scott with crossed arms.

"Yeah"Scott shrugged.

"What made you leave?" Shawn questioned. I threw him a look.

"Well um its a long story" Scott avoided eye contact.

"I've got time" Shawn pressed.

"I wouldn't blow the captain so he kicked me off" Scott said it all in one breath before gathering his things and running out.

"You're an ass" I backhanded Shawn's chest.

"And you like him" Shawn stated crossing his arms.

"No I don't" I fired back.

"Yeah whatever" he rolled his eyes.

"Hey don't be like that" I reached forward to touch his arm.

"You know what I don't even care because we are not a thing! You are just a hole who lets me take advantage of him!" I gasped as he yelled at me.

"I hate you" I said through tears before grabbing my bag.

"Mitch wait" I ripped my hand away from his outstretched arm.

"No. I am done with this. I am done with you getting pissed off and saying all these things. I'm not gonna expose you or anything just act like we never happened okay" I flew out of the locker room with tears running diwn my face I ran to the gym and grabbed Esther pulling her into the supply closet as I bursted into tears.

"Oh my god Mitch are you all right?" Esther wrapped her arms around me as I cried into her shoulder.

"Sh- Shawn and I b-b-broke up" I stuttered as I cried harder.

"Oh Mitch I'm sorry" Esther rubbed circles on my back. After twenty minutes of me crying I finally sucked it up and dried my tears and hugged Esther.

"Are you gonna be okay for practice?" she asked as I rubbed my eyes.

"I think so." I sniffled

"Alright. Well then lets go" she linked arms with me and walked me out of the closet.

"Hey Mitch!" Michelle smiled at me as I waved while looking around for Shawn.

"Shawn had to leave he had a family emergency. I was wondering if you could start our stretches and run through our dance basics while I fix the flag work?" Michelle asked as she stretched in her pliè

"Uh yeah sure okay." I turned and called the team over.

"Sh-shawns not here so I'm gonna be taking over stretching and dance today so uh get into rows of three find your window I need to be able to see you. Okay so were gonna lunge to the left with one hand parallel with our stomach and the other stretching over your head we're gonna stretch for eight counts. Count with me and 1,2,3,4,5,6,7, and 8" I counted as we stretched. After doing all of our traditional stretches and giving everyone time to do their own stretches I lined everyone in rows of three with even lines.

"So we're gonna do our jazz walk and remember what Shawn taught us the other day. When you're in your coupè it should look like a sail boat. And count with me 5,6,7,8!" I watched as the first group went then the second I locked my eyes on Scott as he did the walk perfectly as for everyone else not so much.

"Okay stop. You guys look like your stumbling over your own two feet.  Scott can you come up front?" Scott came up front and gave me a confused look.

"You actually did the walk perfectly would you mind helping me while the next round goes? Just look for people who need extra help." I explained.

"Um okay sure" he avoided eye contact. I shook it off before lining everyone up again.

"Alright one more time this time I want everyone to count and 5,6,7,8" I observed the room looking for kids that looked like they new it. After a few rounds Michelle signaled it was time for flag.

"Okay well we have to move on from dance to flag but you guys are getting better now go get your flags please" I dismissed everyone.

"Hey Mitch?" I spun around to find Scott holding my flag along with his he handed me my flag before stepping back and fiddling with his cheater tape.

"Thanks" I smiled at him.

"Can I uh ask you something?" Scott stumbled with his words.

"Sure" I tucked my flag pole under my arm.

"Do you wanna hang out tonight? Kirstie's throwing a party and um I was wondering if you wanted to come?" he nervously ran his fingers through his hair.

"Yeah like a date?" I smiled at the word as all thoughts of Shawn left my mind.

"Um yea" Scott smiled shyly.

"In that case I'd love to" I made a bold move and kissed his cheek before running off to find Esther.

Looks like something good is coming out of today.
