Fire. Flames. Everywhere I look, there is death. Monsters. People. Fire. Dying. Death. Destruction. I can see clearer now. I'm hunched over in what feels like chains, facing the main part of the room, big and circular, with high ceilings. It's hard to breathe, though I don't know if it's because of the giant, swirling fire in front of me, or because we are deep underground. Probably both. I don't know why, but I remember someone saying I would never make a good miner, cause my head gets dizzy being underground too deep.
Finally I can see clearly. There's a huge figure looming in front of me. He's tall, and when I say tall I mean at least five meters tall, and made of what looks like stone shaped in a human form, with a clear and square head, torso, legs, and arms. He has one eye. It speaks to me, or tries, in a tongue I know not of, but what sounds like a bunch of words slopped together. His meaning though, is clear. He's taunting me. I can see it on his face, even though he has only an eye. His eye is also smiling a hellish, taunting smile. At me.
I only have to look behind his large figure to see why. The flames are huge and rising up to touch the metal platform above it suspended up from the ground. On top of that stands people, four of 'em. A man and a woman, a boy about the age of nine, and a little girly that looks no older than five. The girl and the boy look the same; same dark hair as the woman, same ocean blue eyes of the man, and the boy and the man sharing a slender and strong but not big frame, the woman and girl sharing the same skinny, fragile frame.
They're all screaming for help, shrieking, and crying. Tears spilling down their face, I realize something. They all have one thing in common; a rope is wound around each of their necks, all long and bare, and the line connected to the ropes is already taut. I don't have to think about what is about to happen.
So now I realize what I'm seeing right now; this huge monster is about to hang and roast this beautiful family of four to not only get a decent meal, but to get back at me, or do something that involves me, because everyone is directing their screams, gazes, and smirks at me, bound in invisible chains, I now realize.
What I haven't figured out yet is, why?
The inevitable happens next. I cringe at the slight sound of cracking bone. For some reason, my vision went dark as soon as the beast clicked a button on the wall next to him. And I feel something, something horrid. It hurts and yet I can't feel it at all. My body is screaming in pain, and my head is spinning and pounding, but I can't see or hear. Only feel. Pain. I know what it is now. I can smell it, too. Smoke. Ash. Fire. Heat. Burning. I'm held captive by not only invisible chains, but also I'm burning alive. Everything is burning. The sense of being in the room is fading, the presences of the dead and horrid are gone, but the pain stays with me as I make my head hurt even more trying to contemplate why this has happened.

I wake up from this ghastly dream, bolting upright. I see myself in a mirror across from the bed I was apparently sleeping in. I'm having a rough case of bed-head, my natural ombré dark to blonde hair tousled in every direction. The whites of my eyes contrast immensely, blood red with blue. It takes me a second to realize I'm gasping for air. And my vision is very sharp, though my eyes feel like they are on fire. Fire, I think to myself, remembering the dream I had hallucinated through the night. My head entirely is burning. I decide to try to go back to sleep while I can, and get rid of this awful headache. It doesn't take long for me to fall back asleep in the soft, woolen covers and fluffy pillow, even though the fire is still persisting in my head.
The memories of flames and of panic kept me in an unwaking, concious sleep, which was still in my mind as I woke up later full of regret.
