chapter 1

claires phone rang. she picked it up and answered "hello?"

"hi honey, its your mom. I just wanted to tell you that we are going to have dinner together at our house at 7!" her mom said.

claire hung up. It was already 6pm, so she decided to get ready.

Since claire moved out of her parents house shes always having dinner with her whole family on fridays. Her brother also moved out a while ago so her parents kinda feel lonely. At 6:30 she gets in her car and wants to start driving but she sees a woman packing stuff.

Claire never saw this woman so she decided tosay hello since shes really early and doesn't want to talk to her dad whiletheyre waiting for her brother and his family to arrive. Claire leaves her carand goes to the woman. "hi! Ive never seen you here, did you just move in?", claireasked. "hola! Yea, I just moved here..", the woman answered. "so whats yourname?", the woman asked claire. Clairetold her her name and they started talking. After 20 minutes claire realizedthe time and told the woman, who was named gloria, that she has to leave fornow. "I have to go get dinner with my family but we can talk later if you havetime?!", claire told gloria. Gloria said that she'll be waiting forclaire. Claire just got out of the caras her dad asked her where shes been. Claire told him that she talked to hernew neighbor and they both walked in. everyonesat down on the dinner table and started eating and talking. Claire told hermom about her new neighbor and her mom said: "oh honey, he sounds nice.. maybego grab a coffee with him soon." Clairenodded her head. She didn't tell anyone that her neighbor is a woman evenbecause she thought it was clear the way she talked about her. After everyonefinished eating claire drove home.
