Lauren opened her eyes sluggishly, her lashes fluttering in the sunlight. What in god's name happened? Gold was waiting for her, with a big happy grin plastered on her face. It looked as if she had iron armor. How? It hasn't even been a day! And just the night before, Gold was in a similar place as Lauren!
"You're awake!" Gold sputtered, cutting off Lauren's pondering. She rubbed her eyes and groaned.
"How...How long have I been asleep?" Lauren sighed and picked herself at least so she can see Gold clearly now. Her armor shimmering in the rays of afternoon light.
"Quite a bit if I'm being honest. But, I got you some armor, since you missed a day on the realm." Gold turned to a chest, her smile frozen.
Lauren grunted as she stood to her feet, and stumbled over to the chest. Lauren examined it before opening it to reveal the contents. The sound of the chest unlocking and the hinges squeaking as it swung open rung in her ears. This was quickly forgotten about when her eyes sparkled at the shiny iron armor and tools. She reached in but hesitated.
"Wow, I-.. Gold, you didn't have to!" Lauren said breathlessly, getting flustered.
"Well I did so.." Gold chuckled at her amazement. Her eyes still shimmering as she finally reached in to equip the armor and tools. Latching on every tie and sticking the extra tools in her inventory.
Lauren giggled at her glamourous new look, spinning in a quick circle to show off her armor to Gold, who was giggling along with her.
"Thank you!" Lauren exclaimed, a smile beaming from her pink cheeks.
"Of course! Also, I believe this is also yours?" Gold said, a brown and pink cat mask in hand, still a bit of blood from the nights prior. Lauren reached out with no hesitation as she put back on the mask, shielding her scar from the world. Lauren's cheeks only grew more vivid. She quickly nodded and jumped down, walking around and slaying nearby mobs. Which only happened to be creepers, since the sun was still out and prominent enough to kill off any other monsters.
A sound of a muffled beep startled Lauren. She looked over her shoulders before realizing the beep sounded from her dress pants. She reached in the pocket, feeling around before grasping a familiar shape and texture. It was her communicator. She read the words.
moonlxxt: oMJF LAURNE I HAVE BEE NWO
moonlxxt: LOAYREN COME HERE I HAVE BEE
Loganisbean: lauren come with us
Lauren smiled at the words, promptly and proudly sticking her communicator back in her trousers as she searched for the two. A quick wander around her vicinity eventually leading her to see them, waving to her. She ran over to them as they yelled at her to be quicker.
Myka was short with fluffy white hair, topped with a light blue halo and wings. They wore cute overalls that matched their glowing halo. They looked a bit like a child if Lauren was being completely honest. They stood there waving and a huge smile on their face. Logan, who was significantly taller than Myka, has black hair. His eyes dark enough to be misunderstood as black and he wore a red, orange, and black jacket. He almost looked like Myka's dad with them standing side by side, considering how short Myka was. Lauren didn't mind either way. Just another person to playfully make fun of.
Before Lauren knew it, a bee was in sight, Myka left Logan's side and followed it around like a dog. They looked absolutely ridiculous as little noises of amusement sounded from within them, probably without them even noticing.
"Is this what you wanted to show me?" Lauren said.
"Yes! Isn't he adorable?" Myka beamed, following the insect with a flower.
"Are you gonna name him?" Logan asked, Myka immediately turning to him, and pondering a response for a name for their new best friend.
After a few seconds of thought, Myka answered with "Beenis." Lauren choked.
"Beenis? What a name!" Lauren calmed herself down from the sudden burst of laughter. Myka nodded like an impatient child.
"Yes-Yes! Beenis is his name! He is my new friend you see," Myka ranted, the story of how they found the bee was not very interesting, Lauren concluded. While they were rambling, Lauren got distracted. She stared at a single egg in her inventory, a tiny pout was heard as she thought of the egg as a waste of space. Without thought, she threw the egg. The egg directly hit Beenis, Beenis turning all kinds of red.
"Uh oh-" Lauren ran from the bee, knowing if she was stung, Beenis would perish into dust. An offended gasp was heard from both of them, as they chased after Lauren. Lauren playfully screamed for help.
Eventually, Lauren was far enough away. She took a quick breather before hearing footsteps growing closer to her. Before she knew it, Myka was hitting her with nothing but their fist, damaging Lauren. A sudden realization that Myka wanted to kill her sent shocks of overwhelming fear. She tried to escape, but she tripped on the edge of a pond. In she went, making a huge splash as she tried her best to not get her feathers soaking wet. Myka didn't care. They stepped in and kept hitting Lauren. She put her arms up to try and fend off her angry friend but it was no use. So many thoughts of anger and sadness crossed Lauren's mind as she poofed into dust.
Not again, please not again. She didn't want to go through what she did a few nights ago. A couple of tears of panic sprung. Wait. Where was her stuff? The stuff Gold ever so kindly provided? Oh, this wasn't going to do. She jumped down from her shared sky base and stomped right back over to where Myka and Logan were. As soon as Logan saw her coming back, there was no hesitation as he impaled her with his sword. Another quick scream and a couple more tears sent her back to the sky base with a death message.
Lauren grew more and more in pain. Her back ached, her head burned. Please, she can't possibly go through this again, and they know that, she thought. What had she done wrong? Yes, she hit the bee, but that by no means validate putting her through such pain! Only a couple more deaths and she wouldn't respawn. Before thinking twice she pulled out her communicator and typed her plan.
xlauren_q: FINE ILL JUST KILL BEENIS THEN
moonlxxt: NNOOO
Loganisbean: dont you dare
xlauren_q: I WILL I SWEAR I WILL
Lauren threw down the communicator on the platform she lived on and booked it to Beenis, only half ignoring the pain and tears already evolving. A few seconds later, Beenis was right beside her. She grunted as she dealt damage to Beenis. Before she could get another hit, Myka was on her, hitting her to stop. There was no hope, however. Before they knew it, Beenis had stung Lauren, basically sentencing the insect to death. Myka was absolutely horrified, obviously breaking into sobs. Logan stared in disbelief.
"There. It's even." she pants out, tears still cascading down her wet cheeks.
"No...you-...I-...Beenis?" Myka stuttered, turning to the insect who is just now settling in a flower, awaiting his death. Their cries only grew louder. "H-how could you--"
"YOU BASTARD!"
Logan booms up to her, bloody sword in hand as he swipes her back with the sharpened edge, earning a screech from Lauren as she falls to the ground in her own pool of sticky blood, her breaths shallow as ever. Logan showed no remorse. One more stab to the side of her hip and Lauren was gone. Back at the sky base, with another limb aching.
This wasn't going to end well.
