I woke up to a thud, it was me I had rolled out of bed and had landed on the ground, ouch I had landed on my elbow the wrong way and know there was a bruise on it.  I got up from the floor just in time to see my little brother Jake race past my room and down to the cafeteria. I got up and got dressed and ready for the day, tiredly I walked downstairs and into the cafeteria where everyone was getting their morning breakfast, morning's where some of the busiest parts of the day. I stood by the door just watching everyone when I saw something out of the corner of my eye fly at me I catch it just in time.

When I opened my hand I realized it was a plastic fork, I look around to see who would have thrown it at me and standing there by the buffet table was my best friend Lukas Gray with a smirk on his face. He walked over to me

"Nice catch he said" I gave him a questioning look " why did you through it ?" "Just checking your reflexes is all he said"

before he walked away huh I thought that was weird. Abby, I heard a voice say I looked up and saw my father waving his hand to get my attention I walked over and joined my family for breakfast.

After breakfast, my dad called me into the office where he, my mom, and Lukas all sitting on the couch.

" Am I in trouble?" I ask as I pulled up a chair and sat in front of them." No, your not sweetheart my mother said, "okay then what is this about" I asked.

'This is about the profit my father said, What profit I asked? "Remember the story I use to tell you about when you were little about four prodigies' coming together to find four objects and to put a stop to the beginning of a war?"

" Yeah, I remember but what does that have to do with me?" I questioned him. "Abby Lukas said you're the prodigy for the dragon shifters" "what no it's just a story right?"

I laugh, I look at their serious faces "Oh, it's real huh?"

" Yes, it is my father said. "Okay,  now what, well we get you ready to start your journey he said." So it begins I thought.

Later that night after a full day of getting ready for a journey I have only heard from stories when I was a child. I stood there by the gate, a gate that has been closed my whole life, Lukas walked up to me handing me a bow and arrows.

"You got this he said" let's hope so I said

he just smiled and signals to the guards to open the gate it squeaks and groans as it opens up. I step outside and watched as they closed it behind me well hear is the start to a whole new journey.
