Tree fire

A female gray anthro raccoon named Sandy Wilde was standing in a partly completed studio apartment that had been attached to the fire station. She had talked to her friend Judy Cooper and her boyfriend Chris Cooper who were twin anthro blue merle Australian shepherds. The three of them were standing at a sliding glass door that lead out to the balcony overlooking Lake Michigan The three of them were discussing colors for the bathroom and living/sleeping area. The fire chief who was a male human named Blaze Fischer walked in. Looked at Sandy and said "You know now that I see this project coming along I see your idea is excellent."

"Thanks." Sandy said as she turned around to face Blaze then the alarm sounded.

"engine, ambulance, and tech truck 349 fire reported at 3452 Tiffany CT." The four of them took off running for their respective vehicles.

Blaze ran to communicate stand and said "Station 349 10-4 WHF756

As the ambulance arrived on scene Sandy saw that her oldest brother Tim Wilde was on scene across the street from the fire talking to the neighbors. "Engine349 this is Ambulance Tim is talking to the neighbors so I am going to try to get any victim information from him. The rest f my crew will be deploying our 02 and stretcher just in case."

"10-4 let us know." Blaze replied.

Sandy then ran up to Tim gave him a hug and asked "Do we know anything about victims?"

Tim looked at her an said "I was just going to ask this neighbor. She lives in this house."

"I know there is a family of six rabbits that live there. I saw the mom unplug the Christmas tree before leaving that room." the neighbor who was a female human said pointing to where the Christmas tree was now in flames. A few minutes later I see the garage door opening out of the corner of my eye. After that I went to the bathroom when I came back I saw a female human standing in the front yard throwing lit cigarette buts through the window which she had somehow opened from the outside."

"Did you see who left?" Tim asked

"At least the two adults and they took the van." the woman replied

Can you give me your best description of the suspect?" Tim replied then looked at Sandy and said "You should gear up and look just in case."

Sandy nodded then ran to the ambulance and grabbed her firefighter's helmet and air bottle "Hey I am being told that there could be four victims and you should be able to get it from out side I am going around back." Sandy said into her mic.

"10-4 still going to send in Kade and his team to cut the fuse box though." Blaze said into his radio as he pulled the hose from the truck.

Sandy was almost knocked over by her cousins Kade and Kody as they ran past her through the back gate. "Hey you four need to keep an eye open for four rabbit kids!" she yelled as she regained her balance.

Kade, Kody, Judy, and their fourth partner who was a female anthropoid Lynx named Kara Omotto acknowledged the order. Just as a van pulled up.

"Hey we are putting the victim search on hold momentarily I see a van that just pulled into the house's drive way." Chris said as he ran up to the van.

The driver yelled "Whats going on here!"

Sandy knocked on the window and as soon as the driver had it down a crack she said "Do you live here."

"Yes we do." the driver responded pulling her ID out. And showing Sandy.

"There has been an apparent arson. Did you leave anyone home I need to look for inside?" Sandy asked

"No our four kids are here in the van the six of us went to breakfast." the driver replied.

Sandy tapped her mic and said "Calling off the victim search unless there's a thief the house is empty."

Everyone acknowledged the message then Sandy heard Tim yell from across the street "Grab a fire extinguisher!"

She bolted to the fire engine and grabbed a fire extinguisher from it's hook and the bolted after her brother who was running after someone a few houses down who matched the suspect that the neighbor gave.

She watched as he tackled the suspect before she kicked in the front door. She ran to the Christmas tree which was just starting to catch fire and sprayed the fire extinguisher at the tree.and put the fire out.

She heard Blaze over her radio "Fire is out returning to station in fifteen minutes."

Sandy left the house and bolted back to the fire engine. As soon as she got back she returned the fire extinguisher to it's appropriate hook then ran to Blaze and said "I'll be driving this area for a little bit. I just put out a smaller fire a few houses down."

"What?" Blaze asked in confusion

"It was definitively arson. The neighbor across the street told Tom and gave a description while I was trying to get victim information. They were trying to do the same down the road to another house and Tim called over for a fire extinguisher."

"Oh ok. If you forced entry have the cops keep an eye open for intruders as well." Blaze replied

"Will do." Sandy said as she ran back over to Tim

"Hey can you keep a presence around the house?" Sandy asked

"I plan on it. I just called dad and told him what happened. He wants me to stakeout the house until the owners return but is going to try to get another shift or two from another precinct to help just in case they went on vacation." Tim replied

"Ok hopefully someone will be home soon though." Sandy said as she turned around and walked back to the ambulance

"I Know." Tim replied.
