Mia rushed towards the cafeteria, eager to see her friends. She had just left the computer science class. Listening to that professors voice was almost deafining, but she knew she needed to learn this stuff, no matter how boring and hoarse the teachers voice can be. She made her way to the door to the cafeteria, pushing the door open. Once open, the scent of meat cooking and bread baking filled the air. People rushed to the counters, lingering over the salads and burgers, deciding what to take. She took a big sniff of the air and started looking for her regular seating table.

She found her table where all her friends sit. She placed her stuff on her seat that she always sat at. Her seat was always near the window, but her back always faced it. Near her seat and Anujins', was a stack of newspapers on a small wagon. She would take a newspaper to find either the gory news or the comic strips. She sat down on her seat and looked at the only friend that didn't rush to play who can grab the food first with almost everyone else in the university playing. Kendrick, a calm fellow, sat across from her. He was really into his bass music, staring at the sheets covered in notes Mia couldn't understand. With his hands, he was pretending to hold a miniture bass and bow. His lips began to move while he read the notes off his sheet, his hands mimicing the notes on his imaginary, miniture bass. Wow, he is in love with his music! He doesn't even notice me, Mia thought to herself. "Notice me senpia...", Mia whispered, hopeing Kendrick would hear and notice her. He glanced up and smiled at her, but quickly shifted his eyes to his paper.

Mia sighed, and got up to play with the rest. She grabed a tray and walked to the line where they served regular turkey, ham, and cheese sanwiches with mayo. she grabed two sandwiches and made her way to the fruits stand, where she picked up a few apple slices. She got her cup of soda and walked steadily towards her seat. She sat her tray and cup on the table and sat at her seat. She looked up at three of her friends sitting in their seats. Joey, a girl, sat wolfing down her meal of mashed potatoes, some turkey gravy, ham and peas.Joey acted more of a guy than a girl, really living up to her name. She was sporty and didn't care about how she looked infront of every one. She was a tall asian girl, with long black, but with a little blue tint,  hair. She had natural maghogony eyes that was always mistaken for a deep, blood red. She looked up at Mia and swallowed before saying, "hey, what's up?". Mia smiled and said, "nothing really, exept nearly becoming deaf...". Joey laughed a bit and said, "computer science professor?". "Yup" Mia responded in an annoyed fashion.

The second girl was Aalia, a very shy and quite person. People walked over her like a doormatt, but not when her friends are around. She had simple rice and beans with some meat. She looked up at Mia and smiled, but didn't say anything. Mia replied with a kind smile and went to eat her sandwich. The third girl was Lance, a very munipulative person. She studied phsycology and was great at pushing peoples buttons even her friends. She was sneaky and almost always got her way... almost. She was also great at manipulating others into doing what she wanted and used her ability for bad most of the time. She was from the phillipines and she had short, black hair. Her skin tone was a a bit of an olive color but also a hint of brown. She ate her lamp chops quietly, only glancing her eyes at the others. She got into a conversation with Joey that Mia couldn't hear over the other loud students in the cafeteria. The rest of the team sat at the table except for Kendrick, who went to get his lunch.

The last of her friends came and sat at the table. Sophia, a dirty blonde haired girl, sat with Anujin. Sophia was a realist, and very smart. Anujin was always happy. She tried to find something positive when things are bad. She always made people smile. Mia grabed a newspaper that sat itself upon all the other newspapers. To her horror, the front of the cover was covered in a picture of a dead little girl. ' Mother and Daughter Brutally Murdered', read the title. She read in on more about the deceased mom and child. Once Mia finished the first paragraph, she couldn't believe it was a human who did this. "Guys.....", she said, getting the attention of the table, "did you hear.... about the mom and child who were mauled to death! Well not mauled, but killed brutally, like-". Mia was interupted by the same voice that made a girl hate herself for a week...." we know, already..." Lance said with a smirk. Mia was used to telling the news, but Lance beat her to it. "The daughter, named Jade, was killed in her room. She wasn't killed with a knife, she......." Lance stopped, creating suspense. Her eyes narrowed and her smile widened. She leaned in, her cold, yellow eyes stared into the souls of everyone who was listening....especially Mias'. " She was torn apart, her gutts were everywhere and her blood was nearly drained. Her jaw was torn from her face, and her tounge was left hanging out". Lance put on a more fearful tone to her voice, giving off a creepy vibe when she spoke. "Her mom fell through a loose stair. her face was ripped off in the proccess of falling through". All her freinds looked around the table while Lance continued. "Then, her husband came home.... He was sent to a mental hospital because he claimed he saw a monster with no lower body was in his house eating his daughters' arm".

Finally, the day was over, and Mia went to pick up her sister, Cleo. Cleo was the most popular girl in her highschool. She always came home bragging about the drama that went on in her school and how almost all the boys adored her. She also told Mia how she got her first kiss and second and third and on and on and on about boyfriends. Cleo knew very well Mia has never been kissed or in a real relationship. Cleo constantly teased Mia how she has so many friends boyfriends on purpose. It fueled Mia with anger, but she loved Cleo. Mia drove to the back of the school where Cleo stood with some of her friends. Mia parked her car infront of her sister and opened the door. One of Cleos friends was a tall, thin girl. She looked like she grabed her makeup and rubed every inch of her face with it. This was the girl Cleo always hung out with. The other person was a boy, who was obviously a jock. He was tan and fit with brown spiked up hair. He had his arm around Cleos' Shoulder. Mia snarled at him, a cue she has done before to him, which ment ' get off her or i'll rip you in half '. With respect, he took his arm off of Cleo and put it to his side. Cleo waved back at her friends. Mia now realized those two weren't the only idiots near her, but a bunch of coloful kids stood by the door waving at her. Cleo hopped into the car and they took off. Mia looked at the mirror in front of her to see a crowd of ignorant kids waving at the car like Cleo just got married.
