choi yeonhee (19).

"Hey, you work tonight right?" I quietly asked, leaning over my seat as I looked at Jimin. He nodded before pointing at me and tilting his head.

"Yeah," I replied. "Did you tell your parents you're staying after school to study?"

He sighed before letting out a smile. "Yes, yes I did," he sighed again. "Stop talking about it so much before someone hears you, seriously."

"Aish, okay, okay. I got it!" I replied, turning to face the front.

I got a part time job at a convenience store, not close to school and home but not too far either. I just know that no family members or classmates would ever go there. It's currently a secret job my family and friends don't know about—except for Jimin. If my parents knew, they would definitely destroy me. Especially if they knew I spent my time to "study" as time spent to "work" instead.

Jimin works part time at a fried chicken restaurant across the street from my store. We made sure our hours matched so we could go and leave together without acting suspicious to our families. Although, he doesn't work when he has jujutsu practice, I had to change my schedule to make sure I don't work when he has jujutsu practice too.

"As you all know, this will be your last year as high schoolers. You'll be college students starting next year, right?" Teacher Choi, our homeroom teacher said as he looked around the class. "That means you guys have to really pay attention to your grades on exams this year."

"Yes!" Our whole class replied.

"Alright then. Can the class president come and pass out the homework we have for today?" He asked, looking at Jimin sitting behind me.

"Yes," Jimin replied as he got up and went to the front.

"Oh, and Choi Yeonhee, come follow me to my office," Teacher Choi said and I quickly looked at him, confused before getting up.

"Huh? Yeonhee are you in trouble?" Jia asked and I looked at her, shrugging before following Teacher Choi out the door.

We walked to his office and I sat down after he gestured me to. "Yeonhee, I know you're one of the best students here since you're 2nd in your class. You must be busy, no?" He asked and I nodded.

"Yeah, you can say I'm busy," I replied. What is he planning?

"Ah, so I was wondering if you were able to set up a time to tutor some students who are struggling in class..." He said, before sighing. "But if you can't, it's understandable. Since you're a top student, you must have a lot on your plate right now. I just hope you think about it. Not to mention, it will also look really good on your university applications."

"Tutoring? Oh, honestly I've never really thought about that. I feel like it's easier for me to learn myself than trying to teach others..." I awkwardly said, scratching my head before taking in a deep breath. "But if you think it'll look good on my college applications, I'll definitely give it a thought!"

"Alright, please do. Let me know if you ever change your mind, okay? That's all I wanted to talk to you about today, you can leave now." He smiled and I smiled back before nodding and walking out.

Aish, tutoring? That'll be a little difficult considering how impatient I am. But it'll definitely look good on my college applications for sure.
