Maya Hart the cool, rebel best friend of Riley Matthews is currently sitting in her 5th period history class with Mr. Matthews. She is sitting at her desk twirling her pencil with her fingers nervously. She has been trying to get Farkles attention but he's too focused on the lesson to notice. "figures" Maya thought, so she leaned over and whispered "farkle". He still didn't notice so Maya rolled her eyes and threw a ball of paper at him. "what Maya?!" He whispered back after feeling the ball hit the side of his face. Maya whispered "I'm plagued by doubts", Farkle gave Maya a *really that's why you bothered me* look. "Maya it'll be fine ril-"Farkle started but noticed Mr. Matthews looking at them. "Miss. hart Mr Minkus is there something you want to share with the class?". "No sir"Farkle said, he faced the front again and Maya sat back in her seat and sighed. She noticed Riley looked at her confused, Maya wrote on a piece of paper and handed it to her "it's fine I'll tell you later". Riley smiled and turned to listen to her dads lesson. "ok now let's get back to the lesson" Mr. Matthews said "Belgium 1831-". Maya zoned out after that she didn't realize the bell had rang until Riley snapped her out of it. "Peaches! the bell rang let's go to lunch", "sorry riles I'm coming" Maya said. She grabbed her stuff and walked out of the classroom hoping to find Farkle. "I'll meet you there peaches I'm going to use the bathroom" Riley said and walked away. Maya eventually found Farkle walking down the hallway and she stopped him. "Farkle I need to talk to you" Maya said grabbing is wrist to stop him. Farkle stopped and looked at her "Maya you need to tell Riley how you feel, I will if you don't" Farkle said. Maya could tell how serious Farkle was especially after he told everyone how Riley felt about Lucas 2 years ago on New Years, she didn't want that to happen again. "I will I have an idea but I need your help" Maya said. Farkle smirked "ok what's the plan? he asked, Maya looked relieved that he would help she wouldn't know what to do if he said no. "I'm going to sing a song I wrote to Riley I need your help setting everything up" Maya said looking nervous she bit her lip waiting to see what Farkle thought of her plan. "Maya that's a great idea of course I'll help, maybe you can do it at the dance this Friday!" Farkle said excitedly. "The dance how could I forget about the dance" Maya thought to herself. Maya thought about it for a moment "it would really surprise her I could see her face light up with a huge smile". Maya smiled "ok Farkle I'll do it", They saw Riley coming and quickly changed the subject. "what are my 2 favorite people talking about?" Riley playfully asked looping one arm with Maya and putting the other around Farkles shoulders. "nothing riles, just talking about the dance this Friday Farkle here is taking Smackle" Maya said looking at Farkle who's face was as red as a tomato. "Awww Farkle I knew you liked her!" Riley said excitedly. Farkle smiled nervously then got an idea he smirked and asked Riley "so Riley who are you going to the dance with?" Riley sighed "probably no one Lucas is going with Missy and I'm hoping Charlie-" Riley got interrupted by Maya "Cheese Soufflé!". Riley gave Maya a stern look and continued, "as I was saying I'm hoping Charlie doesn't ask me". Farkle nodded and looked at Maya "so Maya who are you going with?" He asked. Maya just shrugged "probably no one I really don't like going to these things". "Awww peaches!" Riley said pulling Maya into her side to hug her, "we can go together who needs boys anyway!" Maya smiled at her and thought to herself, "this isn't making Friday any easier" ~time skip~. It was the night of the dance, she put on her red dress, a pair of black high heels and a necklace. she went into the bathroom to do her hair and makeup, she pinned it up in the back and let the rest hang down in loose waves. She looked at the time and grabbed her purse, she headed to the subway with thoughts of Riley and the dance swirling around in her head. 20 minutes later Maya arrived at the dance, she saw Lucas and missy dancing "way to go ranger rick dancing with the bulldozer in the pink sweater". Farkle was with Smackle, he whispered something in her ear and went on to the stage, probably to set up the lights and mic. Then she saw Riley by the punch bowl "wow she looks beautiful" Maya thought. She smiled and started walking towards her, Riley saw Maya approaching her "hi peaches! you look beautiful" she said. Maya blushed and hoped Riley couldn't see it, "thanks riles so you do and I see you wore my favorite color" Maya said gesturing to Riley's yellow dress. This time it was Riley's turn to blush, she just smiled and looked down bashfully. "Of course Maya would point that out" Riley thought to herself. Riley looked up to see Maya smiling at her, she grabbed her hand and said "let's go dance peaches". Maya looked down and bit her lip she looked back up and said "whatever you want honey". Riley smiled and they danced for awhile until she saw Farkle give her the signal, a wink and a thumbs up. Maya nodded at him and turned to Riley, "I'll be right back riles". Riley looked confused but nodded, she turned to see Lucas coming towards her. "hi riley you look great tonight" he said with his charming smile. "Thank you Lucas so do you" Riley said, Lucas sighed "look Riley I didn't want to make anything awkward but I can see the way you look at Maya, you never looked at me that way you're in love with her aren't you?" He asked. Riley looked bashful "is it that obvious?", Lucas put his hand on her shoulder "I always knew you loved her Riley I hope you can tell her tonight how you feel I want you both to be happy". Riley gave him a small smile "thank you Lucas and I hope everything works out for you and Missy". Lucas smiled and tipped his imaginary hat "thank you ma'am I should get back to her" he said with a wink and walked away. Riley turned and saw Maya sitting by a keyboard on stage. Farkle fixed Maya's mic to make sure it was where she wanted it and he whispered "you're going to do great maya" he smiled at her and walked off stage. Maya took at deep breath, Farkle turned the spotlight on so it was shining on her. Maya spoke into the mic "this is a song I wrote about a special someone who's here tonight, I've wanted to tell this person how I felt for a long time I never knew how to say it until now". Maya took another quick breath and started to play. ~Ooh, whoa, whoa

Going away~ Maya finished and stood up everyone cheered as she walked off of the stage. Riley walked up to her with tears in her eyes. "Peaches that was beautiful", Maya bit her lip "I'm glad you liked it honey it's how I feel about you". Riley looked at Maya they stared into each others eyes and slowing started to lean in. Riley grabbed Maya's face and kissed her passionately. The kiss was everything they dreamed it would be it was soft and slow they eventually pulled away and Riley rest her forehead on Maya's. She smiled and said "I love you so much Maya", Maya smiled and pulled Riley into another quick kiss "I love you too Riles more than anything". Maya grabbed Riley's hand and pulled her to the side a slow song came on and she put her arms around Riley's waist, Riley put hers around Maya's neck. Maya looked over at Farkle who was standing with his arm around Smackle they were smiling watching the new couple dance. Maya mouthed "thank you" to Farkle he mouth back "you're welcome" and slowed danced with Smackle her head resting on his shoulder. Maya pulled Riley close to her they swayed to the music happy to finally be together Maya was happy she finally told Riley how she felt she's never been happier this truly was the best night ever.
