During the start of our travels, maybe just the first few hours in the sun began to set, though as expected we catch them talking amongst each other in the forest and take hiding positions behind some trees while we listen and watch them from a safe distance away. "So where do you want to go now?" I take a peek out from behind the tree, I can tell there's a person with bright blonde hair and a jacket standing there, looking down at a map. I take out the wanted poster from my pocket, unfold it, and take a glance down at it then look back up at the person confirming that is indeed Grayson the emperor told us about before sending us off to go find him. I get a glimpse of another person who wanders over to him and takes a glimpse at the map Grayson is holding, he's taller than him, it must be the other one called Drake. Part of him seems odd and his eyes are dimly glowing, one is purple and the other one is white. I shiver a bit seeing the white one, something about it felt eerie, I'm not sure what about it though seems so strange, I shrug off the feeling after a moment and keep watching. Unfortunately, I can't see them very well now due to the sun that has disappeared behind the horizon, the lack of moonlight, and a constant light drizzle of rain now, the sky is nearly pitch black. I hear Drake finally respond to Grayson's question, "I'm not sure, to be honest, I think we should keep heading deeper into the woods and try to find some cover from the approaching storm, perhaps some nearby ruins or a cave of some sort." Seems they're just as eager to get out of this storm as we are and hopefully, we can hurry things up here before a downpour of rain begins, I slowly take out a dagger deciding whether to strike now or not. Grayson speaks to Drake again, "I suppose that's our best bet, there doesn't seem to be any villages nearby us here, and I know how you hate water but we probably shouldn't wander around aimlessly either just hoping to run into shelter somewhere." He finishes off on a good point and Drake responds back to him "I think I know an area, Its not that far but I keep getting this certain feeling almost like something is trying to draw me to it, the feeling is so strange but so oddly familiar, almost like another one of those diamonds such as the one I found in the abandoned ruins that one time near my house." "Should we really go there then? You know "he" could be around there." Grayson would say back, obviously concerned. I slowly lower my dagger and hold up one of my hands so my companions wouldn't go forward and attack them either, now being intrigued by this information of a diamond and can't help but wonder about who they are talking about. I slightly lean forward against the tree truck I am hiding behind to try to listen in to their conversation closer. Drake took a moment before responding back to Grayson this time, seeming to consider this possible complexity, "yeah, I know "he" maybe there, but I have a feeling there's also shelter there, and "he" wasn't there when I found the one by my house, at least I don't think "he" was so I'm willing to take this risk, and if things do start to go wrong, I still have enough mana to teleport us out of there quickly." They seem to be trying to avoid this person whoever they are, I think to myself again. Then again, Drake seems quite confident in his magical abilities so far, I suppose he has a reason to be, they have escaped the empire many times as I have heard before. I hear Grayson let out a long sigh then take a glance up at the sky, a quick flash of lightning illuminates the surrounding area for just a moment, thunder closely follows it, rumbling overhead in the distance. I duck behind the tree worried they may see me due to the sudden light from the lightning's flash, but just as quick as it came, it disappears again, once the flash is gone I continue to spy on them, Grayson responds to Drake finally, "Alright, I guess we can head over there for now, but we better hurry before this bad storm hits and we get soaked out here." "Way ahead of you," Drake says eagerly as he has already started to walk deeper into the woods. "Drake wait up!" Grayson calls behind just noticing Drake is leaving without him, and quickly puts away the map he had out before rushing over to him and walks beside him, I wait until they are at least out of ears reach before looking over at my companions again, waving them over, and we begin to quietly converse on our next plan of action.
