Seven days has gone.
Ukali opened his emerald eyes. He was able to see, however, he couldn't identify anything except colour. He couldn't recognise anyone, expect Zira, still not realizing she was his mother.
The horizon was eventless, expect for some teenage lions training, and two younger lions play-fighting.
Suddenly, Zira appeared near the cave entrance and picked him up by the scruff of his neck. She didn't apply pressure or whatsoever. Zira wasn't that happy about having Ukali.
He's a disgrace, just like Nuka! He doesn't look weak... and yet, look at him! The thing's lazy! Never tries to walk! A weakling.
As Zira carried him towards the cave entrance, Ukali started protesting, meowing. Zira was very unhappy at this.
The lioness reached where Kovu and Vitani were practicing fighting.
"Do you know where Nuka is?! I shall punish him when I see him again. He's not taking care of Ukali." Zira said.
"Yes, mother. He went that way." Kovu pointed his paw towards the border between the Outlands and the Pridelands.
Zira cursed in her mind, swearing to intensify his punishment.
Zira, still carrying Ukali, trotted towards the direction, a little alarmed.
I told him not to go there. I told everyone not to go there.
A few minutes passed, and Zira had reached the border. There, she could see Nuka, a little across the border, in the Pridelands, having fun.
Zira had to get over there, unable to call them with Ukali, and unable to leave him there. Zira sneaked around 10 feet near them, put Ukali down, and was about to call him when a roar sounded.
ROOOOOAAAR!!!
Zira looked in that direction and saw..... Nala. At the sound of the roar, Nuka saw Zira, saw Nala, realized what was about to happen between the two lionesses, and with his head down, scampered to the Outlands.
"Nala!"
"Zira!"
"What are you doing here? Simba banished you!" Nala growled.
"Oh, well, I'm here to end your life!" Zira changed her plan at this opportunity and was about to pounce at Nala when Ukali meowed, noticing Nala, however not scared.
"Who was that?" Nala asked.
"Oh, that's just my son." Zira said, still in a ferocious tone.
Zira showed Nala her cub.
After a long pause, Nala spoke.
"Zira, your cubs don't deserve to live in the Outlands. They are innocent. Please-"
"I have my choice. And that's to raise my children, where I live." Zira said.
Nala went silent.
Suddenly, and idea began forming in Zira's mind. An idea that would affect Ukali, his life, and the truth.
"Nala, since you think that my cubs don't deserve to live in the Outlands, and that they deserve better lives...... why don't you adopt little Ukali here? He's of no use to me."
Nala looked horrified at the fact Zira was giving her own child away. However, she soon realized she'd rather raise him than leave him to Zira's evilness.
"I'd be glad to." Nala said.
Zira smiled, and slowly, turned around and headed back to the Outlands. Nala watched as her shape became smaller, and smaller, before Zira disappeared.
Nala turned towards the cub.
"Ukali." Nala said to herself and picked him up by the scruff of his neck, and carried him towards Pride Rock.
