Light streamed in from my open window, jarring me from my sleep. 'Ugh, Monday' I internally moaned, knowing that I had to go to work today. I listened to the birds singing merrily. I loved listening to the birds, they gave me a sense of tranquillity. I didn't really know why, perhaps it's the idea that no matter how the day is going, there is always a control- the birds.  I rolled over, pulling up my soft covers, snuggling into myself, smiling. After a few minutes, I roll out of bed, head to my bathroom and get ready for the day. Hopping in the shower, I covered myself in a watermelon scented body wash. God, it smelled so good! I jumped out after washing my hair and my face. Once I wrapped myself in a towel, I brushed my teeth, got dressed, towel-dried my hair, combed it through and put it in two messy braids.

I headed downstairs to see my dachshund, Apollo, wagging his tail at my back door. I let him out, giggling at him dashing around on the grass. He must have heard me open the cupboard with his food in it, as he came running back in, sitting down at my feet, patiently waiting for me to put down his food. I quickly scratched him behind the ear and then went to go and make my breakfast. I whipped up some pancake batter, getting flour everywhere. About five minutes later, I was sat on my couch, eating my peanut butter, chocolate chip pancakes whilst watching some random comedy show on television. I slid on my shoes and headed out to work.

I pulled up outside of the clinic as I heard my phone go off, telling me that I had a call. "Huh, good timing C." I chuckled to myself, looking at the caller ID.
"Hey C" I greeted down the phone.
"Hey E, I was wondering if I could swing by after you got off work?" My best friend, Charlotte, asked. She seemed worried.
"Yeah, of course. How come? Any specific reason or just wanting to hang out?" I asked, starting to get worried myself.
"Ummmm, you-you'll see I guess." She said and hung up the phone. I looked at my phone, confused but just shrugged it off. I sighed, opened my car door and walked into the office. Oh yeah, I forgot to say, I'm a dentist.

Hiiii, so I've never written anything like this before, I doubt I'm even going to publish it, but if I do, I'd just like to say that I'm sorry if you don't want this, but if you don't, don't read it. Wow, magic! Please leave comments, I love reading through them. It makes me really happy seeing how people feel about what I'm writing. Also, I don't know if I've said this before, but even if I have, I'm only 14, so I'm not the best at writing, or at writing about stuff like this.

I have, I would say, four more chapters written, so if you'd like them publishing, let me know by commenting or voting. Ok, I'm going to stop rambling now. Have an excellent day all, and thank you!
