Dabi walked you home that evening with a plan in place. You had a new feeling in stock. Craving. After Dabi told you of his game you began to crave what he had. His ability. The light in his eyes. You didn't know if you wanted to be him or kiss him.
The dimly lit sidewalk was more peaceful than usual.
"About your scars. Do they hurt?"
You asked bringing the conversation back to the previous one in the diner.
"They can be painful, but just like with the stares, I've gotten used to it."
It hurt knowing that he was in pain and you pondered the idea of his own flame being the reason for this patchwork he had. Before you knew it you were standing at the bottom of the staircase leading up to your apartment. You were admiring him once again. His hands were in his pockets and a light breeze caused his jet black hair to wisp nicely across his face.
Just go for it.
You put your hand out slowly towards his face and he jerked his head back a little. You took that as a sign to stop. You began to put it down when he grabbed it and lightly placed it on his cheek. You both stood for a moment. Admiring.
When a small whisper left your lips.
"Pretty."
He then took your hand in his and brought it down. Still holding on, he spoke.
"Get some sleep. I'll see you tomorrow, y/n."
You nodded as he let go.
"You too. See you tomorrow, Dabi."
You let out a light sigh and headed into your place for the night.•••
Sunday. Your day off. The day you got to choose. No rules. No boss. Just whatever you wanted. And what you wanted was for night to fall. The sooner night fell the sooner you and Dabi would meet and the plan would commence.
It was a beautiful night. The air was fresh and the sky was clear. It was a little chilly but not cold enough for you to layer a crazy amount. You made your way out of your apartment and out to the front of the complex. At the bottom of the stairs stood Dabi. He had a smug look on his face.
"Are you ready to play?"•••
Flashback to the diner.
"I'm listening..."
"Good."
He put his fork down took a deep breath and began.
"I've been keeping tabs on people just like you. And I found someone who i'd really like to rid the society of. A pro hero."He then spoke of a hero you've never heard of before. A man with the quirk of slime. He was able to absorb things around him in his slime and then dissolve it.
"This bastard has been getting on my nerves lately. Thinking he's all that simply because of his come up in the industry, but from what I've gathered all he cares about is the fame and money. Not the people. Not one bit. I don't think that's very heroic. Do you?"
You thought for a minute.
Heros are here to serve and protect. But if all you care about is praise what's the point. That makes no sense I guess he could be on to something.
"No I guess not."
"Exactly. Now this is where you come in."•••
Present time.
"He should be patrolling around here somewhere." Dabi whispered. The two of you walked the alleys of the City. When suddenly he put a hand out, stopping you from taking another step.
"There."
He pointed. A man in a ridiculous costume stood on his phone, just outside the alleyway. He turned to face you. The nerves started to set in.
