Later that day Light got home and opened his death note. "This book has so much power," he thought and that was when he got an idea. He started writing down the names of all big criminals that he could think of. Exactly 40 seconds after their names were put in the note, no matter what they were doing they started having heart attacks left, right and centre. The more names he put down, the bigger the smile on Light's face got.

Before long, this got the attention of the greatest detective in the world, known only by the name L. His face has never been seen by anyone apart from by his handler, Watari who also is just as anonymous. He then decided to make a news broadcast to the entire world about 'Kira' (the Japanese word for killer).

"Dear viewers, I would like to inform you about the bizarre killings that have been happening in Japan."
When Light turned on the TV to see this, he was absolutely enraged. The persons full name was Lind L. Taylor and Light quickly wrote his name in the death note.
"Whoever Kira is, we will find you and make sure that you are left to rot in-" he couldn't finish the sentence because he started to gasp for his final breaths and soon after, died.

"Dear Kira, I am still alive." Said L using a voice changer. The TV screen went black and was only showing the letter L.
"What?" Light questioned. He had just saw L's lifeless body drop to the floor after his name was put in the death note.
"You didn't kill me, you killed Lind L. Taylor, a death row inmate who was scheduled to be executed 6 days from now."

Thanks to this news broadcast, I now know you live in the Kyoto region of Japan because that is the only place where this broadcast was aired at the moment. You are also a student because you have only been killing people outside of school hours."
"Try to kill me."
"I will find you."
