Thanks to _catastropheem for the amazing book cover! Love you 😘
We got to school by 8:10 am. We pulled into the parking lot which was nearly filled. As soon as the car was turned off, I quickly opened the door and got out.
Students milled around the parking lot, leaning against their cars and laughing with their friends.
Walking towards the school's entrance,I heard Alec call.
"Hey aren't you going to wait for me?"
I halted and turned back to see him jogging towards me."I don't want to be murdered by your fan girls you know."
Alec is Hiddenville High School's star quarterback. With his sea green eyes, broad shoulders, blonde hair, he gained the attention of every girl in the school. His charm was irrefutable.
"Oh,you know that's what you get for being handsome, you become every girl's dream."he said with a smirk.
"Not me." I replied. Walking past the majority of people that hung outside.
"Don't deny it scar, sometimes I catch you drooling over me." He said with a wink falling in beside me.
"Liar."I nudged him in his side.
"Alec?!" I know that high pitched annoying voice from anywhere. We both turned around towards the source. A familiar blonde stalking towards us. Blue eyes, dirty blonde hair and fake boobs.
Bella is that girl every body thinks is perfect. She is the captain of the cheerleading team . The girl almost every girl in Hiddenville wants to be and every guy wants to get with.
Complete bitch? score
"See you later." I whispered quietly into Alec's ear.
I headed towards my locker ignoring the stares and whisper I heard as I passed by a group of girls.
"What does he see in her?"
"She dresses like a boy."
"Why does she car pull with him everyday?"
"I bet she is a cheap whore."
I shook my head at the last one resisting the urge to punch that bimbo right in the face. As I approached my locker, I dialed in my locker combination and took out my calculus textbook. As I was about to close the door, I felt a weight on me.
"Jace?" I pushed him slightly away.
Meet Jace Williams, a transfer student from Baltimore. He had been my lab partner since the term began. Smart , good-looking and cooperative, I could say he is the best lab partner I have had so far.
"Hey Lettie." I rolled my eyes at the nickname he calls me. I hated it. It sounded so girly. I prefer being called Scar or by my full name Scarlett.
"What's up?" I asked as I slammed my locker shut.
"Would you be coming to my party tomorrow?" He asked scratching the back of his neck which I noticed he does whenever he is nervous.
His upcoming party had been the talk of the school the whole week. He comes from a wealthy family.
"Yeah, I will be there." I lied.
"Alright Lettie." He said giving me a slight smile before he stalked off. I wished I could just call him back and tell him not to expect me at his party.
I don't have a teenage life. I hadn't been to any teen party since I was diagnosed with asthma. My mom wouldn't let me to go any. She says it's too risky for my health. The smoking, the cold air were part of my triggers.
