_______________________________The night skies delicate complexion was freckled with bright, lucid stars. Soft yellow light illuminated over the many buildings of Paris. Light blurred between thick strands of golden hair as it tousled in the wind. His black suit reflected the gentle glow of the full moon, that washed over his slender frame and glistened on his bell that lightly rang as he ran across the rooftops.
It was the fifth night of Chat noirs late night explorations, exploring the outskirts of his city and allowing his mind to unravel with the solitude sky to keep him company.
In the moment he felt peace in the moonlight as he ran across the city, he had let the silence around him lay thick as his mind worked to solve his daily problems. All under the comfort of the night sky like it could provide safety, comfort to fight the cold winds and his tangled mind or soothe him with its invisible hands and compassionate smile drawn out in the constellations. He turned his head trying to make sense of where he was. Slowing his pace, he came to a stand still crouching down at a building's edge. He found himself pondering on the possible burden he was placing on his father, for him to come to his room bed empty, window open. Would he even care? How could he explain himself? Just a casual jump out the window to walk down the street. Maybe by some miracle he could make up a lie, despite a possible punishment of never being able to leave the house. Or even better he would not be caught. Even with this thought in his mind for almost the entirety of the week he would find himself escaping his room for the cool air of the evening. Much to Plaggs displeasure yet he was happy to be payed profusely in Camembert plus he could perhaps count this as a patrol for akummas even without Ladybug's acknowledgment. While this punishment loomed over his head he still rebelled against his fathers overbearing grasp. Those few hours let him divert from his confused love life and painful past.
Chat studied the horizon for a moment the haze of the previous day was settling. He wasn't sure of the time but from where the moon was in the sky he was guessing it was around midnight. His gaze traveled to dim lights of office buildings and family homes even the streetlights that he saw beneath him. He'd never noticed how beautiful the views were in Paris until now. Turning away from these views he sauntered away from the sheer drop. He'd heard that cats always land on their feet but he didn't plan on testing that theory tonight. The moonlight spotlighted his careless steps as he sprinted to other buildings. He didn't know where he had planned to explore tonight, perhaps he would simply stare at the stars under the Eiffel Tower, letting dawn spring with it's golden hour to caress over the city and his porcelain features. Or he might return to his stuffy room to try and wrestle some hours of sleep, nether the less he knew he would be tired for school tomorrow.
He felt tired although he still planned on staying out longer. He strongly expected to be dozing off in class tomorrow, fortunately Nino would be there to wake him up. He had come up with the casual lie of studying all night as he had been out late for the majority of the week. He hated lying to his friend but then again he was technically living a lie, juggling being a superhero and a high school student. His mind wondered back to sleeping and he thought of returning to his room.
This thought quickly vanished as he drew out a figure standing on a balcony in the distance. His eyebrows furrowed in realisation as he slowly began to recognise where he was and who that was. She was running her fingers through her ebony hair, her eyes were focused on the moon that was creeping behind a dark blue haze of a almost translucent cloud. Chat ducked behind behind a brick chimney, his eyes still remaining on the figure whose hair blended in with the night sky. The moon's rays mirrored her tears that were streaming down her face.
