When you're little you think of the world as a sweet melody. You don't have a care in the world. You think everything perfect. You skip down the little yellow brick road with a big smile on your face like Dorothy did in wizards of oz, not know what the future could be holding for you. Is it bad or is it good?

Not everyone's life is like that. Well, at least not mine. When everything going good it would just collapse again. They would get worse, the problems would get bigger, my faith grew smaller by the minute.

Hi, my name Jake short for Jacob, Jacob Frederick shivers to be exact. I have two older brothers and sister, and one younger brother and three sisters. You guessed right. They're eight of us plus my mom living in a two bedroom apartment. All the boy shared a room and all the girl shared a room. My mother slept on the couch.

You're probably wondering where my dad at in the picture, but I wonder the same thing. Ma always said that dad die when I was young, but for some reason I don't believe the nonsense. Dusty, my older brother who 17 is like a father figure to all of us. He works and help mom with bills.

Ma not home most of the time. It feels like we have to defend on our own. Dusty always yelling at ma because of the choices she makes. She does anything to bring in money to help put food on the table, and I mean ANTHING. She brings home men at different hours of the night, it start with laughing but always end in a fight. Why won't she stop?

What could be any worse then that? You would think nothing. Think again! Everything changed for the worse. When I say everything, it no exaggeration. Everything fall apart.
