"He said it was our own problem," Jeno whispers to Mark as they spend spare time in the library that Monday afternoon.

Well, more like following Renjun because he needed to do research regarding Ama's condition.

Mark frowns at Jeno's words. "That was kind of... not nice of him, don't you think?"

Jeno says nothing, not really wanting to badmouth anyone but doesn't disagree either. "You should've seen his face. He looked absolutely disgusted."

"How could I be so stupid??" Renjun abruptly strides to them and slams a heavy book onto the table with a grunt.

The other students aside them glare at them warningly and Mark awkwardly bows his head apologetically.

"All this time I was searching around   the jinxes section when Ama's condition is obviously not one! Hers is more powerful, like a curse but at the same time not. It's dark magic!" Renjun huffs and flips the book open rashly.

His eyes light up at a certain title inked onto the dusty, yellow old paper. "Here it is, Possession. It is a similar form of manipulation but more dangerous, difficult and can only be conjured by strong, dark magic. Possession is the method by which one soul enters another's living body and turns the latter into the former's vessel.
"In simpler words, it is when one's body is taken over by another's spirit. However, this will not erase the original owner's soul and they will still remain in their own body, only dormant. This, however, differs when they are possessed by souls who do not own their own vessels such as ghosts, lost spirits and etcetera.
"The longer a soul without their own separate vessel stays in a body, the more is the original owner of said figure will diminish until, they are obliterated completely."

Renjun reads the page and their hearts sink more and more towards the end.

Mark shakes his head as he reads the lines over and over again. "This can't be it. Ama can't be possessed. Who would even try to do that on her? I don't think the ghosts would."

"I don't want to believe it either but, the symptoms match too well. From the bloodless appearance, seemingly endless sleep- they're just too many," Renjun points out despite grieving the idea.

Jeno searches the page. "Is there no way to reverse it?"

Renjun flips the sheet. "It says here that we can bring the possessor's body and inflict harm or a counter spell on it strong enough that will force its soul to return.
"But, when it comes to a possessor without their own body then, we have to find the object where their soul is kept and destroy it thus, eradicating the possessor soul, as well."

"We don't even know who possessed her. The only person we saw was Donghyuck," Jeno states.

Renjun ponders. "Since Donghyuck is still Donghyuck and he was the only one there thenㅡ"

  He pauses suddenly.

"What? What is it?" Mark queries with frantic eyes.

Renjun clenches his fists. "Then, Donghyuck must've lead someone's lost soul to Ama. Think about it, who on Earth would even choose to possess Ama?? I'm pretty sure they would prefer a more reliable wizard or witch like, any of the professors but Ama?? Why so sudden?"

"Maybe, it's because they didn't have a choice," Jeno theorises.

Renjun snaps his fingers. "Exactly. Maybe, the soul has wandered too long. We heard Professor Dumbledore saying that someone was too weak. It could be that the soul is too weak and that's why they had to choose someone they know wouldn't be able to fight back.
"Donghyuck must've suggested Amaryllis. Being the naive, smart yet, idiot she is for being too kind towards everything, he must've thought she was an easy target."

Mark and Jeno exchange glances at the contradicting description Renjun gives of Ama.

A junior student suddenly, clears his throat and they all turn to him.

"Madam Pomfrey asked me to call you. She said that Amaryllis is awake," he tells.

The three seniors shift their eyes towards each other, all genuinely surprised but immediately rush out to the medic.
