Lights Out

A short horror story

Jackie, Gerald, and Kyle were 3 friends going into college together and were so excited that they were able to all share a room together. They left their homes and said goodbye to their parents then hopped in their cars and drove away to a whole new experience. College was were opportunities for partying were at an all time high and also since Halloween was coming up.

They all got out of their cars and texted their friends who were going to the party. Jackie was gonna be a nurse, Gerald would be a zombie, Kyle would be a clown. They all got into their costumes and headed downstairs to the party. There was a door with a sign on it that read "Halloween Party tonight!" They slowly creaked open the door and the room was empty. They walked in and the walls were so dark and dirty. Then suddenly the lights flickered and went out. They turned to run towards to door but it slammed. Soft music started to play and Jackie started to cry. She screamed and a big thud was heard. The lights flickered for a second and Jackie was laying against the wall, here head got slammed into it.

Gerald immediately turned to Kyle and assumed he did it. They started to fight, the lights turned off and Kyle gasped as he felt cold hands grab his neck and squeeze. The lights flickered again and Gerald was on the ground bleeding from getting punched by Kyle. He looked up and Kyle was laying in the corner with marks on his neck, he wasn't breathing. Gerald was the only one left. He prayed and prayed nothing would go wrong and he would survive. The lights turned on now and the door swung open. Just as he was walking out he heard something. "Lights out" "Lights out". This voice was whispering it in his ear. He turned around and not under his own power walked back into the room. The door closed and the lights flickered. He screamed then silence. Blood seeped under the door.
